I know nobody knows for sure but

Was today's rise in prices a dead cat bounce as we continue down or a taste of the rest of the week as we return to bullish?

I don't think BTC going below 35k. We will prob stay sideways for a few weeks and then continue on the stock to flow model to 90k+ by EOY.

Averaging up a little on BTC, ETH and LTC on this pullback. They are the only 3 that I'm currently holding and I'll probably keep it that way.

My crypto holdings: 65% BTC, 25% ETH and 10% LTC
Up to 0.014 BTC. Should crack 0.02 BTC by this time next month.

I'm a little more bullish for a run to $80k by September, but I don't think it touches $100k by the end of the year. Estimations have always been a little lower than reality though --- so maybe I should expect $100k.

What is the justification behind this 80k bull perspective? I am concerned about uncertainty with governments.

Opportunities I see is we have been in this mid 30s environment for a while and I think the market manipulators see it as a period of stability and will proceed to juice things like they did before.

Even at $100k per BTC, the total market cap is only $1.9 trillion. If you subtract out the millions of BTC that are lost, burned, or otherwise inaccessible, then the total market cap is even less. That's still fairly small compared to the market cap of other instruments that function as a store of value or medium of exchange (looking at you, gold).

Supply and demand. More and more institutions are buying btc. Once JPM and other investing platform start offering crypto, you will have more people move $$ from bonds and gold to bitcoin.

How many more times will we pass over and back 40k?

How many texaggers have personally used the lightning network? Let's increase that number.

Interesting thing on this front....Goldman Sachs about 2 months ago announced they were going to implement a trading desk and dedicated team for crypto and were going to start offering a product to their clients. I think I actually posted that announcement in this thread.

Since that time, they have released a white paper completely trashing BTC's use cases as a currency and as a store of value. Have essentially written it off until further notice.

So, I'm not sure if their previous plans are still in motion or not.

I haven't been following in awhile. Is ADA doing anything worthwhile? I have a small position but am considering converting all to BTC.

I'm converting it all when I get back close to my cost basis.

I bought a **** ton of ADA at 1.03-1.08 to lower my average below 1.20. I dumped it all this week at a profit and moved it into ETH and LINK

I don't get the ADA hate on this thread. Seems like all I read is good, promising things.

Goldman is also notorious for trashing things, and buying in big a lower costs.

I should have been a bit clearer in my post. I separate crypto from blockchain as does GS. They are proponents of blockchain tech and scanning this article it looks as if that is this ETF's focus.

What they are not sold on and have largely written off is BTC and other crypto coins as a legitimate currency and as a store of value. They could obviously end up being way wrong on this latter front. We shall find out.

Their "defi" etc, should look at the companies in it. What a joke.

I've read their crypto white paper. You know you are in uncharted territory when I, an admittedly barely above novice crypto guy, reads it and knows quickly they don't know anything more than I do.

Want to buy some more Crypto.

I think BTC is a little too high right now and may come back down.

What's the thinking on where ETH is? Good time to buy some more? My last buy was at like $1,800.

What is it expected to get to in the next few months?

Man you should have done this two weeks ago!

Regardless, I think you're okay to get in. What's BTC, under 38? ETH under 2300? I might look to see if we retest the lows in the next week or so - 30k BTC, ETH under 2k. Lots of jumps and rejections lately.

My problem is that usually when there is a massive dip I think, "Man, crypto just isn't going to work. I don't need to put any more money into this."

And then when there's a spike I'm like, "Okay, it is going to work. What can I buy before it gets too high?"

I will wait a week and see if we test the lows again. And this time, if we do, I will buy some.

Warren is attempting to ram bitcoin regs through infrastructure bill. Call your senators asap and tell them it's far to onerous.

Your grandma who bought bitcoin will essentially need to be registered as a broker.

I'll add that it's also why retail investors are being advertised to get into trading, so that professionals can take complete advantage of the uninitiated.

Quote:

"My name is _ _, I am a voter in Senator ____ 's state from [YOUR CITY]. I have always valued Senator _______'s leadership for our state, and that's why I'm calling to urge him to stop this Infrastructure Bill as it stands right now - especially the part about tax reporting requirements for cryptocurrencies.
I think America needs a strong Infrastructure package. However, this bill is paid for with a poorly written, last-minute provision requiring stringent reporting requirements for cryptocurrencies that is too broadly written. This has nothing to do with infrastructure, and it is a very technical issue that requires serious thought and consideration. It personally effects my family's livelihood, and it cripples small business if it isn't done correctly.
It is too important for us to not get this done correctly. Like I said, I have always valued Senator ___'s leadership, but I will strongly reconsider that in the future if Senator _____ cannot show leadership on this issue. I am demanding Senator ____ to stop this hastily-written cryptocurrency pay-for in the infrastructure bill and give the Senate more time to get this done correctly."
