Past two days the early morning hours (1am-6am) have seen a steep climb in btc/usd.

Good idea to open a long position before bed, wake up and close? Or has today been the peak of this climb?

Looks like ONE is massively undervalued at .05 if you can catch a dip

I've been thinking about buying some cryptocurrency, and it seems like most of them are all increasing exponentially since last year similar to BTC. What is driving this huge increase right now?

Technology advancement has finally allowed money to work this way.

I think it has a strong eco-system with which to build support and use-case. It's efficient. It has a strong developer team and vision.

I think it compares well to Zilliqa and can/will compete. I also thought it to be a great buy at .029 so the 100% gain really strengthens the heartstrings, too





I also believe it's now a Top 100 coin when last week was maybe 220 or something of the sorts. It's rapid growth.

I think he's mainly interested to hear about the protocol based on his posting history.

Links OCR system was rolled out last month and is being marketed as the catalyst to allow it to get to the next level. We will see... it definitely sounds promising.

Does anyone know if you have to use a VPN for kucoin exchange, like is needed for binance? I'm looking at VET, theta, etc but am not sure which is the best exchange for these. I'd rather not have to go the VPN route. Thanks

Crypto.com has VET, the transfer fees are a little high. Don't think it has Theta available to purchase

That little green paper has two pieces of intrinsic value, both are very important.

1) It is legal tender in the U.S. If you have a debt to repay in the U.S., and you offer the debtor dollars, they have to accept them. They cannot hold out for chickens or gold or ammo or whatever.

2) The taxing authority of the U.S. One of those said debts is taxes owed to the U.S. federal government. The combination of taxing authority and legal tender means that the dollar represents at least 40% of the GDP of the U.S.

Crypto has none of that intrinsic value.

Until it doesn't.

Imagine a crypto currency that did have intrinsic value, backed as legal tender by the U.S. government.

It's not that crypto would go away. It's just that all other crypto would see flight to the legal tender crypto.

One of the reasons why BTC is so high right now compared to historical levels is because it is pretty thinly traded. That's also why it is volatile. A major flight from crypto would create a significant run, and there are no circuit breakers to create a pause to slow down a sell-off.

One of the reasons that I am wary about crypto is online poker Black Friday.

One minute, online poker is tolerated by the federal government. You had online poker rooms advertising during the super bowl! There were rumblings about the government curbing it, but nothing too serious. It was also so common and thought to be mainstream, that people were cautious but not too worried.

Then, in one day, the federal government brought indictments against every major online poker rooms with operations in the US, both the companies and the executives that ran those companies as individuals.

The federal government brought civil and criminal charges of money laundering, RICO, bank fraud, and illegal gambling. They froze the bank accounts of every major poker site. They sought $3B in damages. Warrants were issued for the arrest of the top executives.

Some of the top poker players in the U.S. lost millions, as it was impossible to get money out of the poker sites and into private bank accounts.

The action of the federal government was swift, brutal, and designed to be intimidating. It pretty much worked.

Will that happen to crypto? I'm thinking probably not. We have probably passed the tipping point where it is too big to fail. We are not talking about Phil Hellmuth losing millions, we are talking about Goldman Sachs losing billions.

But, if the government does move on crypto, it is not going to be this slow moving battle ship that slowly changes course and aims its guns at crypto owners. It is going to be a tactical nuke that comes out of nowhere and obliterates value instantaneously. That is the real political risk. That risk is dwindling every month, but I think it unwise to pretend it is not there.

Cardano is up this morning. It decoupled the last few days though.

With ADA as my largest alt holding, I'm not happy.

You gotta realize Cardano decoupled before this recent slump and was ripping past other alts.

It probably got out over it's skis a bit.

If you were to begin with $10k and buy only Alt coins with the goal that the value would increase to convert into at least 1BTC at some date in the future. What coins and blend would you invest in?

It pumped a week or two ago. You pretty much always see people take profits from the pumped coins and switch em to the ones that had pullbacks.

Bidens second largest donor this past election was the owner of FTX exchange.

Haha I'm kinda hoping to pull that off also. My thought would be to stick it all into a coin that's slumping against the market and see if it overcorrects - see ADA over the last week or so - and rinse and repeat. You're basically putting all your eggs into the same basket, over and over. Risky as hell for that 10k but that's how I'd go if that was my sole goal.

On the whole, I'm a little more diverse. I am trying that strategy with about 1/3 my crypto, 1/3 is in varied coins that I think are good long-term holds, and 1/3 is in BTC and stays there.

I got in early in all these except DOT and all will still make runs. You can still make 3-6X your initial investment by the end of this cycle, especially buying dips. Just my opinion and experience, not advice.

I plan on moving ALL my alt coins (except ADA, VET, ONE) to a stable coin at their respective ATH in late summer. I will wait for the bear cycle and buy BTC on the huge dip which could be $35k-$48k. If my calculations are correct I will be able to buy and own 1.5-3 BTC at next bull run with my alt coin sells this summer...plus I already have .15BTC.

Why am I not selling ADA,VET, amd ONE - because I got in very early, I own a lot, and I believe in their long term potential; philosophically, utility, and financially.

I have lots of other coins but those are more difficult to anyze and project...adoption and utility wise.

Coin : projected price this cycle

Lower cost
ADA : $5-$6 high of $10
ONE - $.3 high of .5
VET : $.3 high of $1


Higher cost
DOT : $70 high of $120
LINK : $80 high of $100

Got in a trade last night with 10x leverage on Bitcoin. Closed out on the dip about 3 o'clock for a 58% return. I'm not a good trader get, but getting better and seeing some patterns.
