Oh, I think he's spot on and absolutely correct. It just seems a bit ironic that he makes that statement then not only allows for purchases with crypto, but that he chose the ultimate meme coin to use.

I just find the iron (or maybe hypocrisy) rather thick.

I mean, it's obviously a joke. He's also allowed BTC and ETH before (not sure if he still does)

How bad do you get robbed, from a fee standpoint, when trying to transfer DAI from one wallet to another? It's a stable coin but is ETH based so I'm skeptical.

I'm trying to figure out the most cost effective way to get money from Gemini to Binance.

Not particularly. If anything I have more confidence in a lot of my crypto picks than in the market. Plus, I'm hodling for the long haul with them, so a temporary dip is nothing. VET, for instance, can blow up even with a overall market downturn because it represents a technological breakthrough in supply chain management and is hugely undervalued at present. I have full faith that even if the crypto market saw a serious downturn, that in 5 years we'd still be blowing past my current expectations anyways, because it will recover, just like any other boom/bust cycle we've seen.

I'm not close to retirement so I have the luxury of waiting. If you can't afford to be patient, crypto probably isn't where you should be putting your money.

Plus you really shouldn't be putting money into crypto that you can't afford to lose in the first place.

I'm a little annoyed, I was hoping to catch some dips.

I'm assuming it's just on a bit of lag, I'm not buying yet.

Sure, but I would have held after the collapse in 2017 and I'll hold if it collapses now. VET has also significantly expanded its partnerships since 2017 and is on a much firmer footing in terms of breaking into their target marketplace rather than trading just being based on speculation as to what it could do. Plus we're talking about something that costs 5 cents now as compared to near 10 dollars. If it went down into the fractional pennies again I'd frankly be overjoyed and quadruple down.

I'll buy more if it collapses now. It's a good project that I think has a valid role in the future of blockchains

And 1 year after that article about Walmart - Canada

Walmart China uses Vechain so yes it does.

I'm in btc and eth watching it. I'll check it before I head to church and let you know. I know currently the 4 hour looks good which means we should run up (generally) until at least mid afternoon.

4 hour on btc looks good. Running up at a buy signal. 1 hour on btc also looks good. 30 min on btc has a buy signal. All signs pointing to a decent run. May top 51+ in the next few hours.
Eth had a sell signal at the 4 hour, so I don't trust it. But eth still follows btc, so I don't know if I should close my position. Probably going to hold it.

Coinbase question: if I bought btc pretty high and have just now seen a profit, can I transfer it to another coin and then transfer it all back on a dip to get more coin? If so, what is the delay time? Like if I did it now can I transfer tomorrow morning if btc goes back to like 48?
Decay

Transfer times are approx 15 min for BTC to settle but should show up fairly quickly. You can for sure try to time dips. I do it from my btc or altcoins to CELO or a stable coin, or just try to find inverse moves.

Brand new to all of this and have a question. I downloaded the coinbase app and transferred $2k from my checking account into Bitcoin. I'd like to just leave it there and let it grow (or shrink) for a while. Totally ok with a complete loss but I'm trying to understand if this is considered my Bitcoin wallet. There's the other app called Bitcoin wallet and about a million videos on YouTube so I'm not sure where to look to get answers.

Is my portfolio with 100% BTC the same thing as my wallet or do I need to setup something else?

That's not your wallet. I'm honestly not familiar with the coin base wallet.

If you're serious about buy and hold and want maximum control over the coins then buy a trezor or ledger cold wallet and transfer them out of coinbase to there. Read up on private key custody if you want to know why. Cold wallet just means it's offline, more of less, and can't be hacked so long as you keep the seed keys to yourself. Ledger and Trezor are pretty much flash drives outfitted to hold and secure the private keys of your coins.

Don't to the crypto thing, but do follow various rv projects. Remote viewing is a technique developed by our CIA and Stanford Research Institute for military espionage purposes. Dick has been applying this to crypto currency trends for a couple of years now:

I'm not an expert either and don't use coinbase so somebody can correct me if this is misleading.

Think of your coinbase account money as money in the hands of your money manager, think of "coinbase wallet" as a bank account for various crypto, and think of a hard/cold wallet as cash buried under your mattress.

You're the one calling the shots on your account and portfolio allocation so you're the money manager so to speak, but you can't just transfer that money anywhere; it's for purchasing crypto on their exchange. Bitcoin in a coinbase wallet can be sent to any wallet address however, so you can purchase goods or transfer it to other wallets from there. A hard wallet is more secure and puts the Bitcoin in your actual possession. Similar to cash stuffed under a mattress, you might have to work a little more to go get it and buy something, but it can be transferred anywhere just like from coinbase wallet.

If you're 100% btc that btc is going to appreciate/depreciate the same if it's in a wallet or your coinbase account. I haven't looked, but I'm guessing coinbase wallet is slightly more secure than your exchange "hot" wallet.

Thanks for the replies to my question. I've heard about those pin drive wallets and will need to do some more research.
