You realize what Vitalik conceding this publicly means right? It's actually 100x worse and already happening -- as I and others have said for years.

Because until @GaryGensler it was a great way to run an illegal security. 😎

You said DAPPs, but you meant DINOApps.
I'd probably direct you to develop LAPPs lightning network applications.

Or contribute to the bitcoin github if you have the ability and time!
The downside of BTC becoming more mainstream means it starts to track with the overall market. IOW, you now have more recreational investors who are 100% subject to emotions.mrmill3218 said:

I'm going to bet that is at least partially the issue here.

completely agree that we will now longer see the same habits and trends going forward. Institutional $ + large market caps have completely changed the space.LatinAggie1997 said:
Most stick to the trends they weathered the past 8 years. Some account for institutional adoption but fail to understand and account for their motivation.
I believe the previous cycles will change and we will no longer see the same habits and trends.

how much traditional technical analysis and on-chain analysis do you get into on BTC? Or are you mainly a fundamentals guy?
I probably missed it in previous comments but are you looking into Stacks/RSK/Sovryn/MoC & TBDex?

This is my assumption as well. Consequently, my reason for doubting the forecasts of BTC getting to 100k this year (which clearly looks like it won't happen) and then subsequent claims that it gets into the millions a few years from now.LatinAggie1997 said:

I think deflation wins out. The numbers are hard to wrap one's mind around. Only having 21 million Bitcoin EVER is insane. 7.8 billion people (and counting) in the world only get access to 21 million Bitcoin.
21 million / 7.8 billion = 0.00269
That means that there is, on average, only 0.00269 bitcoins available per person on earth (there's obviously actually less due to lost coins).
No amount of Karen investors can offset that math.
Good news, there are 1000 times as many satoshis as you showed above. Your string of zeros only made it into the trillions.administrative errors said:p-townag said:

There's only 21 million bitcoin, really only 19M bitcoin that aren't provably defunct or lost forever.
But that's also 190 quadrillion satoshis.
190,000,000,000,000.
And there's only 21 quadrillion satoshis left to mine over the next 140 years or so.
Gonna be fun, seeing Americans get zero shock.
I dont think we will be spending bitcoin, in fact I don't think we will generally be spending satoshis. I think primarily for payments we will use fractions of satoshis that settle on the lightning network channels. The lightning network can do millisats [0.001 satoshis = 1 mSat] currently.
