I just had a 3rd party replace the sole and heel of my AE shoes. I've literally worn them once since then, but no regrets so far.

I think I paid $30 and it would have been $125 to send to AE.

I'm a high school teacher and only wear them 2 or 3 times a year now. If you make good money or wear them everyday send them to AE.

Any other recommendations on pants?

I have generally worn banana republic; new ones have great qualities such as piping that keeps your shirt in place, very wrinkle & stain resistant, and don't attract lint. But the slim fits aren't fitted enough anymore (wear a 36x32 so not like I'm skinny by any means).

Tried some j. Crew and they fit better but attract a ton of lint/hair (have a golden retriever so not a good option).

Curious if there are some better go-to's out there especially that have some of the same features as banana republic pants.

Recommendations seem to favor Brooks Brothers so I may try a pair of those.

Was looking through this again a few weeks ago. It just doesn't get better than Mizzen + Main for shirts. Their "Leeward Blue Label" shirts are amazing, and I'll never wear anything else.
