Goodness gracious look at Celanese (CE). Over $150/share 12 months ago and now at $60/share after hours. Profitable chemical company…. I know chemical stocks are in the dumpster right now but isn't this too much of overreaction??
Looks like a really bad year for them.

Anybody add some POWL today?

I want to... I mean, I really want to go crazy and keep buying POWL...but I've already been buying in big chunks and I've reached my personal maximum allocation.

Quoting a slightly condensed version of something from HA that is keeping me somewhat responsible:

The thing I always harp on is risk management. If you lost big, then the primary flaw in your strategy was how much capital you exposed to it. No matter your conviction, you must adhere to strict risk management. If you aren't able to identify support breaks using technicals, aren't able to get insight fundamentally that a reversal is coming, then the only way you can manage your risk is through your entry and allocation.

A $2bil (mostly)impairment charge, my guess is on goodwill, will really eat into the $10Bil of net sales

I start with the hunch-o-meter and gut feel index, or GFI. A stock has to pass those hurdles first

SMCI still looking impulsive - obviously big deadline coming up. But $45 breakout area can be your stop. If you can't stomach a potential gap down well below your stop, which is entirely possible, then don't play. Orange count shows the levels I would expect should this shift into a diagonal pattern.

Up 14%

Have a stop At $50.00

Over $60 in premarket, +8%.

Thinking about buying a few more shares this morning.

I want ahead of the game on this stock, can it get to $70?

All I can say is that they have not filed their 10K still and the deadline is next Tuesday.

In the impulsive count (blue), anywhere between here and $65 is the standard target for the next pivot zone. Hitting its head here could see a retracement to between $47 and $52. Any extensions above $65 would just raise the price level of the next retracement.

Bought March 3rd IWM $229 calls. Looking for 2x minimum and as high as 5.5x. Min target for IWM is $232 and max target is $237-$238 range. Entry sizing is your risk.

CAVA now has a setup pointing down to $91. But should see a short-term rebound back near $135 before dumping.

POWL really getting hammered this morning. That one stings.
Heineken-Ashi
How long do you want to ignore this user?
$189 is massive support for POWL. It's now clearly under the 200 day EMA after dipping below and trying to recover. Losing $189 likely means $175 incoming with $150 entirely possible. In the worst case scenario, could even come down to $125.

I don't expect straight down even if it does fall. If the lower targets are coming, they will likely be preceded by fake out bounces.

Guys, once POWL daily RSI crossed back below the mid line, there should have been no buying until it proved bottom. MACD couldn't look weaker. Switch over to weekly and its even worse.

I don't live and die by RSI, but when its weak and falling, you need to wait for oversold signals.

I think the crazy thing is there is no reason for it to fall. It's like it's intentionally going on a massive sale for no reason. Earnings and future sales say this stock movement has been dyslexic.

Look at what it did last year. Fundamentals are meaningless when something goes on a historic explosion of a run at an unsustainable trajectory. It simply ran out of buyers as sentiment was too extreme. When the buyers come back is TBD, but the technicals took over after the blowoff top late last year. Now it's just a matter of when the market believes it's worth the next run.
