AMZN and POWL after hours today.

I should have been more aggressive at POWL ~230 a day or two ago. I did sell a put at those levels so that's working out nicely.

If you want to play levered instruments you have to understand that you leave yourself open to overnight gaps that could wipe you out. I play puts unless something is in a clear bullish or bearish regime, which this is neither.. yet.

Yeah...im not buying yet but watching. Thinking puts....more as hedge than anything.

Do you have a lower target? If not, buying puts just to buy puts can be a dead strategy, even if you are right.

But let's say you determine a lower target is a 50% retrace around $518. And you want those puts to protect you for 1-2 weeks. Look at expirations within your timeframe and forget about all the greeks for a second. You want to buy a strike that would give you at least a 2x at your target on the expiration date. So you take the strike, subtract the target, and if the amount it gives you is not 2x or more than the cost of the put, it's simply not worth it.

Doubled my position in EGO - gold miner. Stop at $12.59 on new shares. Target for next move up $22. Might sell some $13 puts too.

if you don't believe me, believe the chart set a reasonable stop though, always. This sucker could curl back up to $6 territory forming a big cup. Some big volume buyers last few days too.



RUM (Rumble) has a similar pattern and is a pro Trump stock. It could see 17 again soon, currently 13. Of course do your own DD.

and for big names:
MSFT is an interesting set up.

Watch $4 level, then after that 3.80. If we plow through 4, I think we at least see 3.80. I'll reload there.

Looking at FUBO and trying to learn where to set good stops. Based on your chart, would you set it in the $4 range, or maybe lower to $3.90, depending on risk?

Edit: I see your post right above mine now. I'll watch this $4 level and see how it acts.

Below $3.75 and FUBO can drop a lot lower.

VG taking a dump after some bad press. Might be a good opportunity to get in.
