Nah, I caught the Rona. It's no biggie, except it drains you of any energy. It'll pass by tomorrow though.

I've swing traded this thing 5-6 times over the last couple of years and never hesitate going back into it in larger size each time on a pullback. I never pick the top but the ROI on this method is off the charts.
Just let us know when you're going back in. I made a nice little 30% return on mine over the last month before cashing out yesterday.

Just sold some of my 10/18 220 calls for 1200%, got in at .88.

Wanted to keep holding them but have had this same feeling all day, so I think it's time to drop them. May have one more day in this runup but I think it ends soon.

Going to try to get some cheap puts to ride the rollercoaster down.

For anyone looking to hedge, RCL and CVNA puts may be a better insurance policy than SPY puts. At these levels, they should sell pretty hard IF we get a broader correction within next 6 mo.

Im scaling into below:
RCL MAR25 $140 PUT
CVNA MAR25 $110 PUT

High risk reward, so size accordingly

Just bought $6 SSRM October calls looking for $7-$7.50 target. 35 cents. Risky as they were much cheaper recently, but if this one breaks out, it could run fast.

Never thought I would be here doing a vote, and haven't posted it on premium because I figure our friends here can get it done. My son is in a competition for baby of the year (I have no clue how he is a finalist outside of being cute and loving the Ags). Today at midnight is the last day. He was in first until yesterday and think it went on for like 10 days.

I normally would never post this, however, it's the last day and he is somehow on second place. The winner wins $25k towards college so I figured since he will be attending A&M, I could use that to start his college fund and use this group to help grow it. Stet is 3 months old and born on June 19. So his first day on Earth he watched us BTHO Florida to make our first Natty in the big 3 in about 85 years!

I clicked on the link but is says I have to verify via FB. I've never been on FB and never will. Go ahead and put it up on premium and ask the Aggie Network to vote for an adorable future Ag. That should get your little man over the top.

Also, your image didn't load. Try taking a screenshot and posting that pic.

It says my image was flagged… It's my son in a onesie that says "ut smells like my diaper"

The time ticker says 2 days so I guess it's Thursday at midnight. And yeah I hate that you have to do it through FB

Take a pic with your phone and upload it from your phone. It wasn't flagged by anyone. It's probably because TA doesn't recognize the source.

Thank you very much! Yes sir he is. Getting our feet wet with him is a treat. Had my first weekend Thursday-Sunday all day both of the book end days so I learned a LOT. Number 1 is to make sure to put the stopper on the stroller or that mfer will roll and roll fast!

Thanks! My first real big win - long ways to go but I'm happy with it and felt like I really earned this one.

Makes up for those 190 September calls I sold for 2x last Wednesday that would've been worth like 20k on Friday…think I bought 20 for $850?

Never regret booking a profit and looking at "what ifs", or you'll go insane. If any of us had a crystal ball and knew what a stock will do, then we would be on our private island placing trades on an iPad at the beach. Continue to stack singles, then you'll be amazed at the size of your account and dread tax season.

You're young and that little man will change your lives for the better and open a world that puts priorities in the proper order. God gave me a gift that I didn't deserve when my son was born, he's my only child. That said, making babies is a young couples game. He just turned 9 and I turn 52 next month, but I wouldn't change anything for the world. He's my world! Enjoy it brother.

Here's another R/R play. Unfortunately, the upside isn't huge, but there's still profit to be had and a manageable loss if the play fails.

And just to summarize for those who haven't followed my R/R plays. This is the simplest way to engage a new position. You know everything about your plan before you go in. There should be no sweat on these.

These plays have a defined stop, a short term target to sell enough to return all of my original capital, and then let the rest ride for a higher target. That way, if I'm immediately wrong, I know my potential loss and can keep it small. If I'm right in the short term, I get all my money back and don't have to stress about it the rest of the way even if the ultimate goal fails. But if I'm right, I've only deployed capital for a short period, and I've built a risk-free position to capture profit.

In this example, I'm looking at FSM. With potential breakout looming, but a significant pivot overhead for an A wave high in a 5th wave of a diagonal, I can set my stop immediately below the most recent low. If it's not going to breakout, I don't care to leave my capital dangling in the wind. If it is, I use the chart that I will attach in the reply to know how many shares to sell at both the lower end and the upper end of the overhead pivot box to get my capital back. The chart also shows the potential future reward as well as the stop, and what the reward is compared to the risk.

In this case, the lower pivot sell to get my capital back has an R/R of 2:1, and the upper portion of the pivot would give me an R/R of 5:1. It also breaks it out depending on how many shares you want to buy. But by getting your capital back within the pivot box, the profit on your original capital is 14%-34%, but in reality, its infinity, because you return your capital and can put it to use elsewhere or keep it safe as cash, and you could theoretically hold the remaining shares beyond this pattern for potentially greater reward with no risk.

You certainly don't have to go completely net free, and you don't have to sell any in the pivot box. If you want to assume more risk and leave your money on the line through the potential swings of this, you certainly can. But this approach deploys capital, gets it all back within a month or two, and then leaves you some room for pure profit.

For those who struggle with when to buy, when to sell and how to manage risk, this was the strategy that got me out of the mud and helped me minimize risk and build profitable positions.

In an effort to get the thread back on track from the cute kid derail, during an active trading day...

I'm heavier than I realized on metals. Given the general runup the past few weeks, which are buy/hold/sell in the board's opinion:

  • Silver: I hold SLV call options, well in the money
  • Gold: GLD is a long term hold, SAND is a speculative call position, well in the money
  • Copper: FCX: Long term hold, but my covered calls may be in play. Exit, or roll?
  • Steel: CLF: Dec Calls, decently in the money
  • Platinum: IMPUY - decent gain at this point.
  • Uranium: Not really a metal, but I had the right idea at the wrong time, UEC. Speculative calls down over 50%
  • Mix: RIO is in most of the above. Recent buy write, up slightly
