The next thing that will cause a negative reaction is when the ambulance chasing law firms file class action lawsuits. There's usually about 7-8 of the same firms that do it to any stock that drops significantly, even if they have no merit. It doesn't matter though, it'll spook retail. Everyone here shouldn't get spooked, but it'll be another headwind that we have to put up with.Brian Earl Spilner said:
Have to think the bottom is in for SMCI. Not sure what other catastrophic piece of news could drop it below 400 again anytime soon...
Woah! What the hell happened? That one feels like a buy now.bhanacik said:

I have the 80 area as strong historical support. may try a swing trade if (when) it gets there
Admitted that their consumers are very weak and are significantly pulling back. They are falling behind on every product category that could provide any sort of increase to their profit margin.WestTexasAg said:Woah! What the hell happened? That one feels like a buy now.bhanacik said:

Feels like DG would do well in a recession. We'll see.Heineken-Ashi said:Admitted that their consumers are very weak and are significantly pulling back. Not when Walmart and Amazon can undercut them and have it at your door the next day.WestTexasAg said:Feels like DG would do well in a recession. It will, but SMCI is dealing with more obstacles than DELL at the moment. SMCI's business is sound, but they're in the crosshairs of the shorts and the ambulance chasers that I mentioned earlier. Once they work through this, they'll go a lot higher, I just have to ride out the storm. I'm thinking about changing my TexAg handle to 'Lt. Dan'.giddings_ag_06 said:
Looks like it may be boosting SMCI.
Heck yeah, great call brother.. Dell going for those July gaps now I bought a lotto call on DELL before close, looks like it'll pay up!ProgN said:
Looks like DELL beat.

I'm still working on refining on using either a % or $ amount on my trailing stops and it seems like it's 50:50 on if they work perfectly to save me big bucks a large drop or I feel like a dufus when it's a temporary dip like it was on AAPL in my case.Brian Earl Spilner said:

Here's another option to think about. OA1 taught me to get to net free and "plant" those positions long term and don't touch them. I've done this with PLTR in my Roth and now don't worry about those shares. It really frees up the stress of having to think about stops and managing the positions.
Add Big Lots to that list, too.Heineken-Ashi said:

Walmart is doing well. DG is not.

Simple charting shows that when it gets this overbought, it almost always retraces back to its long term EMA's. This specific timeframe is 4 days, showing that major tops since 2009 go back to at least the 233 EMA (fib number), or the lower trendline (which is riding the 610 EMA on this timeframe). Those levels are likely to be $350 and $275-$300 depending on when the move down completes. And the after the rollover, it takes anywhere from 6 months to 2 years to retrace.Marauder Blue 6 said:What's wrong with BRK.B?Brian Earl Spilner said:

So looks like it was 6,600 shares on 8/27. Probably that dip after it started coming back.bigtoneag said:
