Might be a leg down if 5500 on ES fails. Due for a healthy correction after so many consecutive green days last couple weeks.

Well, that's a nice surprise to end my trading day. Part of my initial rationale was RIVN as a takeover candidate.

Own 1 Rivian R1S vehicle. Over a year in, and happy with it.

In April: Bought a August Strangle (7.5 calls and 10.0 puts) - believed in the bull case, but hedged for bankruptcy risk.

Also in April, bought 12.5 January expiration speculative calls.

Now, I have to decide when to unwind these positions. If the 40%+ after hours move holds into tomorrow, I'll probably take half of both call positions and bank it. Thoughts?

Damn, congrats! I'd consider this kind of news to remove whatever doubt investors might have had in the company and you have plenty of time, so if it were me I'd only sell enough of the calls to get my capital back then going forward look for opportunities to trim (before earnings, frothy macro, etc)

If you look at the YTD chart it seems to have followed a similar movement pattern over Q1 and Q2. Such a pattern is not set in stone, but it looks like it could slide a bit more before moving up again.

I'm in same position with Jan $10 calls. These moves can run for awhile, and decent amount of short interest. I'm gonna take 1/3 off next week and let the rest run.
