On the long side I think ES could hit 4420 (new contract), but I want to see this plus contract rollover get digested. Fed tomorrow.

VIX is suggesting dips can be bought. Just feels like a crazy place to play.

Nursing shortages, turnover, therapy shortages, drug shortages, etc. Nome of that screams thriving market. It's as bad as I've seen it. I've worked in Houston, Little Rock, Detroit, Ann Arbor, and the DFW metroplex.

Feels like the glue is coming undone. Forgive my unabashed bearishness, but the situation is not healthy. And I've been at multiple hospitals in the last week while working, and the situation is present at multiple facilities.

Fade me lol. My sentiment has been almost always wrong lol. Still, we are getting hammered in the ED and on stroke/trauma/degen spine, etc., but they won't raise our call pay rates. Work is 50-75% more than when we last negotiated a call raise (Nov 2020), and they are very reticent to raise us. Stock price up enormously since then, so their coffers aren't dry.

Just my opinion. How to have multiple hospitals run so poorly while stock price popping. I guess as long as free cash flow is good. They don't give a $ hit about quality. That's my assessment. But the chickens always come home to roost. At least so I thought….

Took a bit of AAPL profits today. Dividends, and 13 of my highest cost shares. Nice +43.5% profit.

Mainly did so so I could rotate that cash into small caps.

Sounds like it's time to spin off and start your own. Isn't that how the Physician Center in BCS started? I know a lot of consolidation happening in vet med and the vets who start their own thing are doing quite well. Big groups are making money while providing poorer service and not providing raises for staff. Big opportunities for disruption.
