I'm in the June 23c bought in the high 15s to mid 16s on VIX. A month + out is usually a safe trade at those levels.

How big of a lot do you take on the VIX calls and when? Do you scale in? Stop loss/roll out (which is just adding more exposure)?
Did you do this in '17 when VIX was sub 10 a lot of the year?

Looking for intraday rally to 412.90ish. That's the upper bound of the symmetrical triangle. A mesningful break above there could undertake a rally but be careful this is May OpEx and nothing straightforward. Structural weakness around VIXperation.
