Also. I have an indicator that shows the 8/21 EMA for the daily on every chart on TradingView. It's called "
Multi Time Frame EMA Cloud" by Ripster

I am trying to improve on trading the trend using the 8/21 EMAs... The flip has found me trading counter trend... a lot.

Look at what has happened every time we've re-tested the 8/21 EMA cloud.

1hr downtrend beer candle trend engaged. 4hr is also a potential trend but becomes indecision if we close above 4130. If it breaks 4085 ( which I said it would hit last night and might have been a day early on), this trend can continue to 4075 support level. Below that, I watch for 4040.

Beer candle reversal today would likely engage the previous uptrend toward 4300.

The name for it is "Heikin-Ashi candles".....hence the name Heineken-Ashi.....hence the reference to beer candles

Or at least that's how I interpreted it.

For you low risk degenerates, the 1 month US treasury is at 4.60%. Decent scratch for 1 No and basically no risk.

Parking some money there till Feds bump rates next month. Then will reassess then.

Know what I'm pissed about? I bought expiring 415p a few times this morning for 1.25-1.64 and sold them all for 1.5-1.65 (couple scalps). No runners
Happy i made money though!

I did similar. Started the day with 408p expiring tomorrow. Had to deal with my son's car breaking down and tow it back home. Left work and set a trail stop. Filled while still green for a little scratch. That one is 4x now.

Watch the last 5 minutes of the day if it stays in earshot of 408.

Ok, last ten minutes of the day.
This is becoming an easy scalp to recognize. When we have a consistent sell off or buying, the last few minutes tend to run wild the other way. Chances are higher when price is close to a S/R level.

Had this trendline drawn in since ~10 this morning. I bought 2/10 $408 calls at the yellow arrow when it tested the line again. 20min later I sold $410s against them to create net free verticals for tomorrow.

sometimes its better to be lucky than good??

BTW: the red fib-line drawn in is model-T from ATH (479.98 on 1/4/22) to recent low (348.11 on 10/13/22)

I'm using the 5 minute chart for most of the day, especially while watching the 5/21 ema cross.

For the last few minutes scalping, I want to be in before the last 15 minutes usually. It's a lotto style play. Quickly watch for price action to level on the 1-minute chart then target usually a dollar OTM. Just don't get caught red-handed though. Today moved fast back to 408 but there was still time to push it back down, which happened.
