Two weeks ago, the forcast was showing well above average temperatures in most of US for February. The warm front isn't going to last as long. And more certainty on Freeport LNG.

There seems to always be a dump the last 5 minutes of the day on days where it rallies continuously from the bottom. Not quite sure what to make of it but could open up some quick scalping opps.

Weird day. Comparing SPY to 10 year, before the speech, rates at 3.66 and SPY hovering around 412. SPY rallies to 416, rates drop to 3.59. Rates begin to climb to 3.65 and SPY bottoms at 408. SPY reverses but 10 year doesn't. New monthly high on rates.

Don't trust market.

Edit: OK, it just dawned on me as to why this was *not* strange. The bond market heard what Jerome Powell said. The market did not.

Exhausting day for the noob, with seemingly every psychological trading flaw experienced. I thought I had a stressful career, and I don't see how you full-time day traders do it, but I completely understand why because it's a blast.
