It's funny how nobody can pinpoint the macro environment. It's like the people in charge don't go to normal places…


Wages are up/stagnant, older people retired during the pandemic which was going to happen regardless but at a faster clip, the gap between the 30 and 50 year old work first had been growing for years, we're not seeing massive layoffs due to needing bodies to work, and inflation going up to try to lay people off when the labor gap is huge and has been known since 2014.

It's incredible to see how this unfolds. You could keep laying off people and the unemployment rate isn't going to move much because people can't find workers.

It will take massive amounts of businesses to close down for it to happen.

Buddy texted me a meme yesterday that said "you're about to see a lot of companies that raised prices due to "inflation" post record profits"
Add share buybacks to this and it made me start thinking about the best places to bet on this? I don't know if ostk had massive layoffs and raised prices but it'd be nice to ride it back to 80+

Any NINER fans in here? Not talking about those sissies from The Bay, but the little energy company from Houston ($NINE). Last two days they opened as red as a Pfizer director and ended up rallying slicker than a dribbler past Buckner's mitt. I believe Phillip mentioned em once. I know a filthy Jed Clampet type who was bullish on them a few wks back. (All the advice I need.) Swing it like Mookie Wilson.

YMMV depending on how much you choke up on the lumber.

Set my bid at .75 and missed it by 1. Cancelling the order for now.



Old me would have FOMO'd into it way too early and may have turned out ok, but the R:R would have been awful and I'd now be down 30% hoping we rebound

Yes I will look at L2 when I'm trying to gauge what's next.

I am a sheer novice at it, but I think if I want to purely day trade I need to be better at it. Im smart enough to see big buyers and big sellers at the moment.
