Can someone please explain the reverse repo thing to me? Is this good, bad or neutral? I know Bonfire is in banking, isn't he? He or AustinAg could perhaps clear the muddy waters.

They repossess your whip and at night you sneak in and steal it back. That is a reverse repo.

Actually I'm with ya. As long as XOM closes Friday above $105, I'm all smiles. I know my $99 Calls will get assigned and that was the plan. However, those $105's would take me to a different direction on the following Monday. (I didn't see the share price at $105 this week)
I really need to see BTI move up to $51. I'm pretty much done for the year with my goals when that happens.

I'm finally done with fidelity. I've said it before but this time it's real. They locked my account from opening trades. They see the number of trades I've made this year and the decrease in value of the account and think I am just over gambling. Hey dicks, I hold long positions that are down in value from the first of the year. I've got plenty of cash covering any of my trading moves.

IMO, Friday is going to be big. If CPI decreases from last month and the market believes inflation has peaked, then we have a strong rally. If it's inline or higher, we crater and shorts pile on. No crystal ball, just an observation.
That's their fiduciary obligation based on the information you listed when you opened the account. If they don't and you lost everything, then they could be sued.Ragoo said:

The following advice only applies to a trading/fun/learning account:
1) Check all of the most aggressive categories like 'speculation'
2) Inflate your years of experience in the market
3) Inflate your income and net worth. Put 1M even if you're nowhere close to that
4) On options experience, check 'expert' even if you're just learning puts and calls. You're not required to trade them.
For anyone itching to reply that you shouldn't do that, please hear me out.
This advice only removes the safeguards that YOU put in place, you don't have to trade like that. It sounds like Ragoo's activity is outside the parameters he put on himself and doesn't coincide with his profile. That is why they've added restrictions and letters for you to sign. They're just protecting themselves from lawsuits.
As your experience and confidence grows and you take on more risk (when you're ready) then you don't have to ask permission to do what you want to do.

Good post. Good advice.
Side Note: Also, at Fidelity, if you are not using your Options status, they'll reduce it to lowest level with inactivity. It happened to me in one account where I hadn't placed an Options trade in a long time. The notice came in 2 weeks ago and I am going to protest it.

Was probably in these trades for a grand total of 10 minutes. Small but green after 2 chunky red days.
Any green helps to get back on track. Small green adds up.

I'm looking at TSLA 750C or 730P. Puts look more likely right now. I'll know in 5-10 minutes.
What happened to ZIM? Had good earnings report, went up to $70 and is now back to $55. Thinking of picking up some more at this price, but worried I am missing something. Has a great dividend also.

I tried to scalp the puts and got out for a $0.20 gain. This still seems to be lacking direction. I'm going to cut portion size for anything else I do in his first hour.
I saw an article yesterday on FreightWaves.com that said US Imports have started to "fall off a cliff" to quote the article.

It is quiet here. I am a huge lurker of this thread and appreciate everyone sharing their ideas. My type of work (RN) does not allow me to be active on here during my shifts. I have noticed low volume in the indices and I wonder if everyone is waiting for the cpi on Friday for direction.
I think the big day is tomorrow. Today is a no-news day. There will be jockeying for positions with inflation umbers being reported tomorrow. End of day may be wild if we get an early hint of the numbers or some breaking news comes our way.

I bought two TSLA 750C for tomorrow expiry. I think we're going up, but it might be choppy. I went small so I can buy and hold with a generous stop instead of watching it closely. I hope to see if we can run back to the top of the box we've been in. T&P.

I think it's because the import market has collapsed and the entire sector of large bulk carriers has tanked in the last few days
supposedly Zim is one of the stronger shippers- I think I am going to set up a position today
If markets turn green TSLA is going to rip.

SPY seems to be chopping between the bottom bollinger and the 20 EMA on the daily chart. We could be headed below $408 with that trend. I have a support level around 407.75 that it has bounced off from, so look for it to head there maybe. Volume seems low for the day.
