Is SNDL toast? I highly doubt it'll get to $1 by August unless it gets some massive news

Ok in on TSLA 770C just now.

I'm out of these for $2/share gain. Not great but better than a loss.

I got back in for a buck cheaper. Target is $22.

Tough trading! I'm up but I think getting lucky. It might be like this the whole morning as we wait to hear Fed presentations.

Yellen says the administration is fighting inflation, admits she was wrong that it was 'transitory' (cnbc.com)
Quote:

Both Powell and Yellen spent much of 2021 saying inflation was "transitory" and likely to abate once Covid pandemic-specific factors such as supply chain problems and outsized demand for goods over services returned to normal.

In a separate interview Tuesday, Yellen admitted she was wrong.

"I think I was wrong then about the path that inflation would take," she told CNN's Wolf Blitzer. "There have been unanticipated and large shocks that have boosted energy and food prices, and supply bottlenecks that have affected our economy badly that I ... at the time, didn't fully understand."

"Unanticipated shocks", like full on assault on our own domestic O&G?
Quote:

In the CNBC interview, Yellen said a spending package "could very well have reductions on the costs of prescription drugs that would make a difference to every family that has drug costs as part of its household budget."
Good grief! Spending more money to combat inflation? They can't be this f'ing stupid, this has to be intentional.

Your posts with your history are really interesting. I'm reading and watching but still far from trying my first option trade.

one thing that may fill in some gaps for me are the times of your trades. Is that as relevant as I think it is for these trades? I'd love to see when you put in the calls and when you switched to puts. Also, are the expirations on these all tomorrow? Or how far out?

thanks!

Bulls likely need to keep AAPL above 148.8 otherwise I think tech could dump. Seems likely they will keep AAPL above 149 and get reversal but I'll wait for it to move.

MSFT 272 is another one. Otherwise I think AMZN hits its close from yest.

Today:

  • First round of SPX 4170C - opened at 8:36, out 8:37
  • Walmart - opened at 8:34 out at 9:10
  • Second round of SPX 4170C - opened 8:41, out for -50% at 9:00
  • 4140 puts - opened at 9:06, out at 9:08
  • 4120 puts - opened at 9:14, out at 9:16

Walmart was this week, everything else was 0 DTE. Simplistically, I know how to trade 0 DTE and when you get a move, you take it. I look for volume and a setup to present itself. You want to be in and out quickly because theta decay is a major factor in 0 DTE. Saying it differently, you need it to work almost immediately or you want to be out. Most people trading 0 DTE are either scalping or reckless. I choose scalping.

On the 50% loser, this was a valid setup and then boom, it dropped big to hit my stop.

Good grief! Spending more money to combat inflation? They can't be this f'ing stupid, this has to be intentional.

on the one hand they admit "it wasn't transitory" as they tried to gaslight us for 7 months. On the other hand, they now claim "no one could have seen that spending trillions would add to inflation"

except for the fact that Larry Sommers, a democrat- explicitly in early 2021 stated that the final two stimulus packages would cause high inflation- but he was ignored and made fun of.

The beauty of this is that there's no actual accountability. If an individual makes a catastrophic error at his or her job, likely they get fired and have some bad letters of rec that chase them around for a while.

She has no culpability. Millions of lower middle class Americans are being actively savaged by the worst inflation in almost a half century and the solace we have to rest easy is "I was wrong". Does that give any sense that she has it right at this point in time? They tell us low risk for recession but they got inflation wrong by a country mile…..trust them now?

Bureaucrats are incredible creatures.
They have been wrong on nearly everything for two years-

but trust them now when they tell us a "soft landing" is all but assured.
