Some weekend stock charting. First off it is OPEX (that message is for me). Get in and then Get out hit singles not homeruns (also for me).

ON: has a critical hold of 56.18. This would put it above its downtrend line and also is the 50 day EMA level. Go calls
NVDA: 177.1 will be a key hold to use 8 day EMA as support. Could break the downtrend line here. Go calls
AMD: I think it is and will open in no man's land. If the market decides to go up could easily make it to 100, if down could fall down to 92.84. Don't touch unless market turns down when AMD is around 100 (puts)

All calls are subject to QQQ/SPY having room to go up. I'm not going to bet on the market breaking out of the down channel during OPEX.

QQQ & SPY are at their 8 day EMAs (both rejected down on Friday). I'd bet on a nice gap up Monday followed by selloff. Rest of the week some chop, then drop.

On Friday I will be looking at going long calls for ON, AMD, NVDA. NVDA has their earnings on 5/25 and i think all three would be ready for a breakout. No better time then week after OPEX.

Question for you all in the HC industry: Is part of the shortage the result of hospitals firing nurses because they rightfully decided to not take that worthless vaccine via the mandate?

I can't be for certain, but I'm guessing not. I'm good friends with one nurse who left Oncology wards after 15 yrs because THR was enforcing the vaccine (and she had prior infection, IgG AB's, etc.). She is well-informed and is an MPH. She simply chose not to comply.

But I think she represents a small minority as it relates to shortages. It has more to do with cheap money printing, leading to inflation. I am of the mindset that the vast majority of these problems we're all enduring right now is an effect of money printing and ultimately inflation.

It is an absolute cancer to an economy. It must be killed and the only way to do it is to crush demand and raise rates. It's the only known antidote, and it unfortunately sucks.

Thanks, I was just going by what I observed locally where I live. The local hospitals fired a lot of nurses, they protested in front of the hospital, for not taking the vax and then the hospitals had to bring in traveling nurses at insane rates. I didn't know if that was prevalent at other hospitals.

And those traveling nurses didn't have to be vaccinated since they were contractors. #Science

Who know what will happen, and this year so far has bucked the usual patterns. Just be careful though, because typically the market sells off after opex the last few years.

I haven't been in HC in a long time but I sense more frustration due to the unvaccinated than forced vaccination

My son and I are fully vaccinated for everything except for this covid crap. It's appalling that people have lost their careers if they didn't take this ***** The unvaccinated and people that have natural immunity like me are more protected. IMO, people that were robbed of their career by cowardly executives would be in the right to burn the houses of their bosses to the ground. If you took the vax, cool, it's what freedom means. However, punishing families that don't bend the knee is unacceptable.

The unvaccinated made up far more than their share of hospitalizations and that is what wore down HC workers going back a year or more

It's unfortunate that you believe headlines, but you do you. The "vaccines" haven't done **** and that applies to the bull**** cloth masks that people have worn for tard flair "to stop the spread". There will never be a 'vaccine' for a cold virus or we'd already have a vaccine for the AIDS virus. IMO, these vaccines deplete your immune system, making you more susceptible to other pathogens. Agree or disagree, IDGAF, make your own decisions which is what freedom means. Supporting coercion to take this **** at the prospect of losing the ability to provide for your families is unconscionable. Have you noticed that they don't consider natural immunity at all?

I have not read any headlines, just going with what I've heard from people in healthcare. They were pretty beat down like I said going back a year or more

We know the hospitalized were largely unvaccined for some period of time and this was after the first waves before a vaccine existed. People got worn down, it's not a conspiracy

I'm not going to debate this any more here. Agreed above, wrong thread

When I posted the thing on nurses, it was to have an economic flavor to the discussion. Discuss about pros and cons of investing in healthcare at this time. So sorry to send the ship off course.

Let's right this thing and get ready to make money this week.

All the the more reason not to fire a single nurse or doctor who didn't want a specific medical procedure done on their body.

People keep saying this on here but politics and government action impact what is being discussed on this thread.

Re: Covid, I think the initial reaction was appropriate when the initial reports from China were a 10% fatality rate and they were welding people into their homes. While I obviously knew it could be inaccurate because it's China, it still freaked me out and I got prepared to spend a couple years at home.

I was careful until I got vaccinated but at this point, I don't care if people get vaccinated or not. I don't like the idea of forcing people to get it or lose their job. I willingly took it, but my employer mandates it and I have had to cut people in my own team because of that. Good people too.

Something not talked about is that I think trust from workers towards employers is at an all time low and it might be a long time before employers can take advantage of employees to that degree again. This comes out as "people don't want to work". No, they just don't want to work for you. These companies that index on hard ass or cult like culture to get more productivity are effed because their workforce doesn't buy it. You're going to see more unions pop up. I'm basically -1 from C level at my place and I have had tons of conversations with executive leaders that report to me that center around my boss having zero credibility. They're not wrong and it's a tough spot to be in.

I work for a major O&G and we are having a hard time getting people to come in as we aren't fully remote working + younger talent sees the bad media coverage all day and won't work for "companies that hurt the environment".

I think O&G is going to have a talent problem looming

I would actually love to work in O&G, but I'd have to be a chief. I think there would be less bull crap.

I work in the G part and we are very lean and there is a lot of trust from the executive on down. Our previous CEO really empowered the employees to think like owners. We are a little more corporate now but not too much.

Edit: by owners I really mean like an Entrepreneur. If you see an opportunity for improvement research the project, put together the budget and have the financials done. If there is value you will get the funding to execute.
