That doesn't even make sense. Demand for gas is going to be going up just on people wanting to get out for travel, spring break, sports, vacations, etc.

Look at the DAX. The German index has entered a bear market. The chart is virtually identical to the DJIA, except it's maybe 1-2 weeks out in front of us. Why is everyone here so confidently bullish in the medium term? I personally think there's plenty of room below here.

I feel like Germany is like that joke "economists accurately predicted 11 of the last 4 recessions" they are always leading the charge in the selloffs that end up being bear traps
Perhaps, but in all seriousness, maybe we need to be rethinking why all the markets are pulling back.
What if Russia invading Ukraine didn't cause the market turndown but rather they invaded Ukraine because their market turned down. Their chart set up suggests it was almost a year in the marking.
Remember…big recessions/depressions are typically worldwide events. We just seem to be more resistant than others since our country has such a robust market, but we are certainly not immune!
Their invasion was a culmination of financial distress not the cause of it. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

When I first found this thread, I tried to do some reading from the beginning to pick up any tidbits. I didn't make it all the way through but one thing I found interesting was many were preparing for a bear market then. Having the hindsight of reading it years after the fact, the low was already in.
Can we talk about FB? It feels too obvious but it looks like a good time to buy puts.

I don't know what's going to happen, but I do know that historically, from a technical perspective, this is not a horrible place to go long.

I agree with you there. Ukraine is the excuse, not the cause. If we get a spring rip, I think it will be related to the end of the war. Then everyone will go back to focusing on how F'd our economy is and we'll go back down.

Same. I'm in the same boat wondering if I need to take my small gain and move on. I was at a big loss on it for a couple of months.
Closed right on support, and kinda of in a congestion zone from 174.50-196 area. Spend about 6 months in that zone twice before clearing it previously. Could keep going down certainly, but plenty of support around here.FTAG 2000 said:

goodness gracious, I remember trying to swing this around 9 or 10. I might nibble some with you, but I will have a tight leash on it. I have a very low tolerance for growth and small cap stocks now, got burned too many times!FJ43 said:
