Big debate is dead cat bounce vs lows in. Looking at prior similar sells that bounced to re-visit lows (Feb 2020, Oct 2018, Feb 2018 etc) they all retraced between 50-60% of the rally before dropping

Curious why not? SPY has been chopping right at $450 all day with higher lows on the candles for the most part. Seems price action is top heavy so far. Was thinking that would indicate a likely rip for the power hour.

That is all I do (buy and hold long)....i am not savvy....i dont have quite your number but I still have some cash on the sidelines....sort of interested in responses to this....it seems like there was thought February could bring some bumps but maybe the political landscape has changed that a bit...?

I've bought some last week, but I'm keeping enough cash that if we don't hold the 200-day I won't be pissed at myself, but if we go up for a day or two I don't feel like I've missed out. At this point due to the uncertainty I think it's important to keep that balance.
I like MSFT C here...been weaker but up against a bottom trend line and has already had earnings
I am loading up on bank stocks today. Plan to hold for 2 plus years.
Nothing fancy about my formula. Low p/e, good margins. I think that these stocks will ride out the chop better than the tech stocks that I normally buy.
The three outliers that I bought recently are intc, mu, and mRNA.
Will buy some more banks stocks later this week.

If you want a bank stock with the most growth if you're fine with just holding and a little volatility, I'd add some SOFI
pushing stop to $3.2 and lets see what happens.
