Why would you go against the trend? AAPL just had a blowout ER and the QQQ is massively GREEN of which AAPL accounts for like ~12% of. Nothing about AAPL is a short. It is the market darling.

Either the charts work or they don't... The charts show there needs to be a small pull back in order to continue up.

It is also why I like selling premium more than buying.

Selling calls at RSI >70 has a high chance of producing a profit.

Unless you're actively in a trade, ignore the 5. The 60min should be used for bounces and rejections after major moves. The BB on the 60min for AAPL is 174.4. However if it gets through 174, it has cleared a supply and is moving to the next demand at 176.60. Go ahead and short it and go against trend, but it is the same philosphy as tryign to catch a falling knife to try to short a stock as it is hitting highs. It has sizeable support all along the way.

Unless the market as a whole is in a downtrend, AAPL is the last stock in the market people should try to short

Seeing some weird things. Tech of course on fire, but then I'm looking at HD and V its looking like they can break down.

Might have more confidence in financial names right now over anything else + no need to worry about earnings reports in those names

TTD is breaking out. It doesn't have much stopping it from going to 72. I wouldn't be in such a hurry to sell weekly $67C

Busy today with real life, but trading TSLA. Nothing fancy, just bought shares. Initial stops were 879, then moved up to 900, then to 910. I have a limit sell order for half the shares at 931. If it gets above 925 I'll move my lower stops up to 915.

Lottos today: I bought some 2/2 VIX$21P for $0.02. If we have a clean day today with no big negative surprises, we should get a VIX open around $24.50 or lower. I should be able to go net free and take some profits there.

Edited the date. I meant 2/2, but fat fingered 2/4.

For AMD to run above the 200ema at $115.50, that might take some good news being leaked. If we get there I like this one for an earnings play for tomorrow. If we at least hold here above the 200-sma and 5-sma, I'm optimistically neutral.
