If Biden's executive order next week or two regulates wash trading for cryppy that would not be good for COIN just FYI
AAPL right now feels bearish to me....there's an easy to channel to draw from 1/24 open to today's open that resembles a bear flag. It's right up against channel high right now. A break above obviously bullish for the market, but also feel like we could test channel lows again around ~160

SPX just finished an ugly W. I still don't put much faith in these setups in this type of market, but it's there.

By no means are we anywhere near out of any woods. Kashagari (sp?) was trying to put out some fire today. Take profits on trades. This volatility is not a prime time to be buying longs unless it is stuff you're buying and forgetting about

FWIW, State of Michigan Pension Fund loaded up on T yesterday. Not much help to boost share price back to where it was PreMarket Wed Jan 26th. Worthy notes, largest institutional holder is Vanguard and #2 is Black Rock. It's a defensive stock that pays well.agdaddy04 said:

T is solid as a rock. The senior leadership at T is not the smartest. However, I am very familiar with companies that make money in spite of poor senior leadership,....I worked for one for 23 years and the last 7 of those years had a leadership team right out of the Ken & Barbie mold - looks great in the shower and that's it.. AT&T is not alone in the lack of leadership department, T's senior leadership just happen to expose themselves to the public more so than the others and openly prove ignorance. T's corporate relations/communications department is very poor or senior leaders are ignoring their guidance, it's pretty bad whichever the case. Bottom line, senior leadership at T is not bigger than T.
thanks for the reassurance. I read your post the other day about the weak leadership as maybe you were wavering on them long-term.
QQQ at the 5DMA. If it can build it, will give some decent short term relief sentiment. Close over ~351.50 and you'd likely see a lot of shorts getting the hell out of the way.

amazing that every day this week the markets are literally moving up and down by 500 points within a few hours both ways.
but everything is fine. completely reasonable that the market is whipsawing from drops of 500 points to gains of 500 points multiple times a day.

bought some chevron this morning although it is still near 52 week highs
my philosophy has been buying all the holdings I have at 52 week lows.

PUT buyers driving up premium
I went in to some SPY puts today and that was a bad strategy. Let the early dip turn red on my puts and now in a big hole. Maybe an opportunity presents itself to make some of that back today.
I'm holding CVX and XOM. CVX missed wall streets expectations but still had a great quarter (highest profit since 2014). Healthy financials and increased dividend by 6%.
