I should have just widened my trailing stop on a few runners and forgot about'em. Why I didn't I have no idea as that is normal practice for me.

ALLK says "not always bro"

I took off trades on SPY and AMD calls on Monday for a nice gain and SPY puts on Tuesday for a small loss (to prevent the possibility of a bigger loss). Both of the SPY sales were after the close.

Had I held overnight, the Monday would have been a HUGE gain and the Tuesday would have probably gotten back to about even.

My 463 SPY Calls today that I averaged in at $4.78 I sold for $6.92. No runners.

I am holding my 1/7 AMD 145 Calls overnight. $5.00 basis.

We always discuss economic/stock conversation on this board. One topic we discuss almost daily is inflation and how is it addressed in the market?

Has there been a quiet rotation into value/dividend stocks over the last couple months that has gone largely unpublicized?

KO, PG, BHP, T, ABBV/ABT, tobacco stocks, etc., are all doing well in recent weeks. Is this going to be a trend in this market where growth stocks are less attractive due to their high multiples and often high debt loads? It's not to say the above companies don't carry debt, but they reliably feed their investors that nice dividend. NOBL is up almost 10 points over the last 2-3 months.

Any other thoughts are welcome.

I think there has been a rotation out of growth/tech over the last few weeks/months. I made the rotation out of these and into high dividend stocks in September. Missed the crazy October run in the growth/tech stocks, but the high dividend stocks are doing well now.

I'm 50% high dividend stocks, 20% growth/biotech, 30% cash

I'm honestly thinking about taking my EW analysis and moving away from measuring all of the indexes, multiple individual stocks and ETF's, and metals, and pivoting to S&P sectors. The goal would be to identify daily or weekly the sectors making big moves and then which stocks within them are weighing them the most. Might use this thread to test out over the next couple of weeks. Goal is to get decently proficient in providing buy and sell signals for both individual stocks as well as sector ETF's.

I couldn't find any…also there wasn't much volume but this is one of the bag holders I've left and not tax harvested as there have been 3-4 huge green volume days so I still think there's hope here
