Looks like it wants the 10DMA too. If it doesn't get some sort of reclaim here, we could be in for the gap fill at 387.6

last week when ROKU started falling off i bought some weekly 200 puts. those are up 100% now

ABBV been in my dividend portfolio for a long time. I sold Cover Calls against all my shares at $120 and $125 Strikes for Jan 21. Have no idea if this thing retreats from current levels, but if I am exercised prior to EX-DIV date, no problem. I am happy with my gain and the Option premium paid to me is more than the dividend that will be paid should I lose the shares. It's a great stock to own. I'll rebuy a position later down the road....likely March-ish. If I retain the shares, I'll re-establish a CC position into June/July.

A little more,....not to put words in $30K's mouth, but the last DD I remember him doing on ABBV, he was honking the horn on $117 ownership. From that point forward the share price was -2 to +3 for a while (months) and then ABBV just started a life of its own moving toward the moon.

But why? Today is literally a ****show on the QQQ. It gave us a higher high AND a lower low. A fairly uncommon occurence. The market showed us nothing today. You're essentially gambling unless this is a hedge against further downside.

But looking at the volume profile vs. price. We're on the edge of a shelf.

That combined with OPEX, thinking we are headed down.

Personally wouldn't do it. Chart looks pretty ugly with easiest move still down to 125 or 120. Would consider long there. For me to go long (besides a touch down at 120-125), it would have to clear last week's high around 147. Just too risky in the middle here.

easiest plays are just to continue drawing blood on the beat up names

As stated, this is my first butterfly trade so quick question...

I use Fidelity - I know within ATP you can open these with the multi-leg option window. Is there a similar way to set orders to close these?

McInnis, I think you use TDA/TOS so not sure if you're familiar with ATP? You mentioned keeping GTC orders open but are the different contracts linked so that it only executes if the others execute at the same time?

$SPWR showed up on one of my option scans today.



So I took a flyer on 1 call to match this whale buying the 12/23 24.5C

I set a lowish bid to see if I could get a fill. Got filled at .7.

The reason I got filled...

I watched a major dump start up on the chart literally right after I got filled... I was about to cut it but I noticed the option price barely moved...

then I let the dump play out longer and noticed this dump was getting straight up soaked by buyers.


We shall see. I am planning to hold these 12/23 24.5s overnight.
