I doubled down on the AMD calls at around 138.30ish.

Ok, here's what I'm doing. Don't follow me if you want to be right. (my gut says it should go up after earnings, but you know how that works)

I think with the IV being this high, they're just going to crush it and leave it where it is....at least I'll hope they do.

I'm buying the 50/55/60 call butterfly for tomorrow at just over $1

5:1 r/r.....worth a shot.

Play it small, expect this to go to zero.

I decided to buy shares and sell a 12/10 $45C. I like owning the shares at this price and don't mind getting called out for essentially $3 in one day.

Also FYI - some major flow coming in on the 12/17 $40 calls and puts today.

I ended up buying one 12/10 $45C for $1.35 for funnsies

heavy selling right before the close there, ouch.

I grabbed a couple SPY $463P a couple while it was mid $467's a few minutes before close. Just sold them for 30% after the close. Didn't expect that sell off to come so quickly. I'll look forward to tomorrow now.

Today was quite a nut punch. Max loss on those NVDA calls. 2% of the trading account. Blah! Getting your ass kicked is probably worse than the money loss. I'm definitely going to have to get some drinks for the wife this evening.

SPY, QQQ and some others you can trade up to 15 minutes after the bell.

Yes I was able to close the position a few minutes after close because it was SPY, as mentioned by a few others and the ability to close or open up to 15 minutes after bell.

It works really well when there is large selling or buying into close.

Recap:

TWTR - gapped up over trigger, never re-tested, no play
QCOM - gapped up over and re-tested but it was so late in day... stayed away since it looked so bearish
C - gapped down and re-tested super late, but my focus was elsewhere at that point.


NVDA - got in here and stopped out for a small gain when it went back inside the range. Man I wish I had re-entered later when it crossed the put trigger again... would have been a 300%er


UBER - best trade of the day. 40% gain. Entered on the pullback and rode it out to the end of the day.


Freaking added MSFT to my watchlist this morning. Lost more than I like to when I got faked out hard here... I'm about to make a no trading rule for the first 10 minutes of the day. I already have it for 5 minutes.

Have we talked about INTC AH Dec 6/7 and the opening hour Dec 7? Was this a move to pump the stock price way up in order to generate buyers and then liquidate a large position?

This is a 15-min chart. You can see the MASSIVE green candles that happened at 7:15pm and 7:30pm on Dec 6, and vols of 190,000 and 335,000 shares. Then there was heightened vol beginning 7am on Dec 7 to keep the price stable and then 14.8M shares traded in the opening 15 minutes. Was this likely a geniusly orchestrated dump? INTC was presenting at a conference on Dec 7, which would make sense for the timing on the back of a green day Dec 6 and good pub.

Lots of inside days today, was hard to narrow it down to a watchlist.
