I'm not entirely familiar with the State of Alabama deal, assuming it's just property tax abatements which only save money after the project is completed. They have about $120M cash right now. The project spend is $200M.

I can only think they raised that much so to limit the need to do another to pay for the upgrader. Definitely puts downside pressure on future earnings but that's where we gotta watch how WWR uses its cash when it starts coming, from what should be decent gross margin on sales. Does SG&A explode? Or are they paying down Liabilities / investing in R&D?

I don't necessarily mind leverage / convertible debt if the management team is being an efficient steward of earnings. Time will tell!

How do you know that? They haven't gotten their financing yet have they?

They are halts due to volatility - extreme moves in the price.

But what typically happens where a stock is stuck in a cycle of halts when the market wants to take it higher is that retail ends up getting spooked and selling and the price falls out.

I don't know the exact inner workings of the market. It's essentially an auction. While it's halted, bidders line up and sellers line up. There were probably a ton of shares being bid up which caused the huge spike when trading opened. Now it's tanking because there is more supply than demand and the sellers are lining up to sell their shares.

No nasdaq (?) has official rules for volatility halts, i don't think there's flexibility in how they are implemented. Sharp rises/falls trigger halts and dictate the time of the halt
