Man, I trust Tic, but that volume.....at that price level (overnight low), at that time (London power hour), in this market.......feels like the climb is coming. But wouldn't be shocked if we need to see a "W" first.

At this point, nothing would surprise me. Seems like everyone and his dog is going short next week, so I could just as easily see us set a new ATH next Friday as a giant middle finger to retail before the real selloff begins the week after.

and I think Tic may be right. VIX may want a little more blood. But a very successful volatility trader I follow went short UVXY today. That doesn't mean we don't get another pop, but it means we should finish lower Friday (as the big boys eat premium).

What does it have to clear for an official W? It just cleared the center high. Does it have to pass 450.8?

For some reason I think the market is in the pullback now and bottoms next week. I doubt the pullback is 2%. I think the rally starts up again Sep 20th and keeps moving up and stays bullish through the end of the year.

I'm probably wrong.

Conversely, back in June/July the big bank houses thought the S&P would finish the year between 3800 to 4200. I haven't heard anymore about this type of level from the bank houses until this week with some big bank house(forget which one) projecting a 10% pullback before the end of the year. Maybe the big bank houses want their June/July predictions to happen.

Last, I think 9/17 could be an ugly red day.

I think the 2nd top (after the double bottom) has to equal the high (the high where it starts to turn down).
