I am with you there, got burned on this one as many people on here as well. It does seem like though when it does have these massive green days, red days follow right after which is why I though ITM puts. Eventually I made a little money back on it by going with that strategy.

Thank you all. I appreciate all the messages. We are fortunate we are where we are with modern medicine. Doctors have said the prognosis for preemies this early even 10 years ago was quite different. Side note, I heard of a family friend that is 50 years old was born around this same time and they just sent him home with mom and dad in a shoe box and he slept in a dresser drawer lol. Unfathomable to me.
NICU (and PICU nurses as McInnis noted and from our experience with them from our son) truly are a godsend. I'm honestly at a loss of words at the care they provide. Just a complete blessing.
When my wife's water broke, they started the magnesium and steroids to delay labor as long as possible and to help Faith develop as quickly as possible. Her contractions slowed considerably and the nurses were all indicating we'd likely be in the hospital for a week or even several weeks. We didn't even make it a full 24 hours lol.
We hope to have her home by Thanksgiving if things go well. Then again, maybe we should aim for the Sunday after Thanksgiving so baby care doesn't interfere with watching A&M BTHO LSU as we go undefeated.

On AMD, what's the right way to draw the trends for this? Using the red lines from 8/30, this is failing to the downside on the daily. Using yellow going back to 8/5, it's still got room for a move up.

It actually looks like it could be forming a hanging man on the daily. But I go back to last earnings at the end of May, it dropped a hanging man with a short wick the day after, then started its ridiculous run.

ATER I bought back the covered calls on my shares on this dip and set a stop on the shares at 6.80. If it stops out the covered calls made me some quick money, and if it wants to run I've got the option to cover the shares again or just sell the shares outright. Volume has fallen way off but either way it's a win and a stop will just move that money back to cash.

Another name consolidating within an ascending triangle near ATH.. keep an eye on $SQ. Set an alert for $273.50. Think it can make an initial run to $279ish. Volatile name building up energy.

This would actually line up with the significant pullback everyone is expecting in the S&P, and what would likely be a small degree pullback in the Russell.
I would be cautious on longs here, as it needs to confirm above $114.50 to signal that a bottom is in place.
