I actually bought a few AMC $40c Monday because it finally broke the downtrend line from the summer...Was looking maybe for a nice double but this is working out better than I expected!

Used "the strat" to get in RBLX calls yesterday. While it may be too simplistic for advanced traders on here... I highly recommend it for novices like myself. It's made me more objective. I've had a problem setting my own stop losses and it's stopped me out of a couple of trades already that the old me would "hold and hope on."
It's also helped me find a big winner.
I targeted RBLX yesterday because it was green on the Day, Month, and Week.
I also saw really heavy bullish flow on unusual whales.
I used the previous day's high as my entry and chose the wick on the previous hour's candle as my tight stop loss.
I've moved my stop up before I was away from my computer and it nearly triggered for a 25% win, but continued up. This is easily going to be my biggest win in options that I've done totally on my own. Feels good to be fishing and not given fish.

Funny... I had bought AMC puts on Thursday of last week trying to use the strat, they had gone profitable but had worked themselves back down to a setup that was no longer valid so I cut them loose early yesterday. This is one of the stops it helped me with.

But what caught my attention was that right after lunch many of the fintwit posters who I respect (not the randoms, but guys like Dan Shepiro, Christian Fromhertz, etc) started posting things about the meme stocks. I'm guessing GME decided to go buck wild first, and when that left the station, everyone ran to their bunkers. I ran to AMC because I figured if anything was going to go with GME, it had to be AMC. It worked, thankfully but i played it small and responsibly like the idiot that i am.
But what caught my attention was that right after lunch many of the fintwit posters who I respect (not the randoms, but guys like Dan Shepiro, Christian Fromhertz, etc) started posting things about the meme stocks. I'm guessing GME decided to go buck wild first, and when that left the station, everyone ran to their bunkers. I ran to AMC because I figured if anything was going to go with GME, it had to be AMC. Taking a quick look back at the EMAS on the daily for Gamestop, which seems to be the catalyst for these runs. Discounting the initial squeeze in January, we've had three runs on GME now.
Every single one was preceeded by the 8 day EMA crossing the 21. This has happened anywhere from one to three days prior to GME going parabolic.
Nice 33% gain on ELOX in a week so far... hot damn!
