NCLH another big move today for Day 2.
I would be watching 26.81...ish to be reclaimed from here or if long buy the dip.
What time frame are you looking at on those?FJ43 said:That is the 21EMA & ATR mean.AG 2000' said:FJ43 said:
IWM has room IMO but 222.80ish will be the test.
What are you using to get 222.8 as a level?
The 50EMA will be low 224s so if reclaims that it should really go again.
222.06 is today's close. It didn't touch the 21EMA today.AG 2000' said:What time frame are you looking at on those?FJ43 said:That is the 21EMA & ATR mean.AG 2000' said:FJ43 said:

I've got my charts set up for 1/1/20 - 7/21 and I'm showing 222.06 for the 21EMA and ATR mean. Feel like I shouldn't be off .80 from you.
223.17 should be as high as it possibly goes. It should have topped already but there's some continuation here.FJ43 said:That is the 21EMA & ATR mean.AG 2000' said:FJ43 said:

Bro its like someone knew we were sitting on piles of contracts. Just imagine if ours would have been 7/23s. I had a 100 of those bad boys.59 South said:
Sometimes you need a good slap in the face to remind you that you're retail. I spent last week and the week before trying to trade short term calls on NIO suspecting it had a big move coming. I gave up this week to take a break and reset. And boom. Soul crushing.
Well don't do what I did. Only ended up with 100 contracts because I revenge traded myself out of into a profit. I sold them last Thursday when I was on the road with a trailing stop and got lucky.gig em 02 said:

I am using Daily view but it shouldn't matter how many months back you go.
FWIW I shut down my main IBKR trading platform already so am using TradingView for this charting.

Do you have a particular study you are using, or are you hand drawing everything?
I pulled in three different studies available in TOS and none come out with anything close to 222.8 as support, resistance, a DEMA, or ATR level

Brother you're NEVER bothering me. I am here to help with what little I know.
On TradingView I just added individually (one at a time vs a pre-loaded group) the 5, 8, 12, 21, 34, 50, 100 & 200 EMAs. Then I added 3 each ATR/Keltner Channels with offsets of 1, 2 & 3.
SR (Support & Resistance) levels I do manually by the same method as 30k and I went through on the Zoom call. I start with Daily, 4hr then 1hr to refine.
The 222.80ish number is solely by me placing the cross over the 21EMA which also happens to align with the ATR Mean and that is pretty close using a Daily chart on TradingView anyway. At this point that 'should' be close...ish to resistance.
Here is an image of the settings on 1 of the ATR bands. It has a Multiplier of 1. The others are a 2 and a 3.

If I zoom all the way in I get the same number. 222.74 so good to know I wasn't missing something on my settings. Will probably be a few cents higher with today's close averaging it up a hair.wanderer said:

My 21 DEMA is showing 219.76. Keltner mean is at 224.63.
ATR values 224.97 mean, -1 220.82
I'm on the year daily.
If I drop to today, it shows 222.19 for ATR mean, looks like 221.83 for 21 DEMA.

you are using sma's instead of ema's. Where yours says simple, change it to exponential.

The most successful traders of all time were not afraid to bet BIG when they 1) saw an opportunity within their sphere of competition and 2) the risk/reward was too good to ignore.

As retail traders, we often forget #1.
Let's dive in. Time for a thread with some hard truth ⬇️

Why do the idiots do so well? They don't overthink it. They follow trends, ride waves, etc. I firmly believe most people that underperform are too clever for their own good. The market isn't that clever. Why? Well, let's overlay another aspect to this chart crime to learn why /3 pic.twitter.com/NDtZbfgpgI

Horselover Fat doesn't scream integrity and competency to you?
It's a built in alert that will signal audibly and visually with arrows a reversal in the trend up or down. Similar to what the dots do on Parabolic SAR. I disabled it after trying it for a bit but you may find it useful.AG 2000' said:Thanks for sharing this too! There are some excellent points in his string. Whether he's right or wrong on the points most of all I love his enthusiasm and conviction to his process.McInnis 03 said:
