AAPL leaps are now back in the red. Glad I sold my PTON for a nice chunk of liquidity at a good return. 10YR UST hit 1.25%. Which is basically a 20bps move from where it was on Monday/End of last week (that's a big move y'all).

This is gonna be a day. Probably won't open my account today. It's gonna be like schrodingers account.

May have something to do with 25MM share dilution, but this was never targeted as a Q3 winner. The plant is also a future event that may or may not happen, and may or may not be completed/operational on time.

I thought the dilution occurred a couple weeks ago this week... But I thought Q3 was the circled date? Did I miss that? Not trying to complain as I hold a crap ton of shares but always thought this was a Q3 play to go net free and then a MA stock long term for when the plant gets going.


Maybe it was, but in my mind I was thinking Q1 2022, but that could have been my built in mental cushion

I'm highly skeptical any of this has anything to do with covid concerns. Just an overheated market doing its thing to keep people honest. It was always going to happen but trying to time is difficult to say the least. 21 ema tests seem the most likely scenario but who knows.

The UK (delta ground zero now) has basically said ALL restrictions are done July 19 including masks and distancing, etc. no matter how high cases rise. A drastic shift in policy for sure. Did anyone not watch the England-Denmark game yesterday at Wembley? Somehow they've gone from zero fans and all staff fully masked to almost full capacity with no masks in less than 2 months. And I'm loving every minute of it.

TLDR covid is over and not causing markets disruption anymore.

Thank you. I was also a bit skeptical that this is all caused by the COVID boogeyman vs just repeated new ATHs in the markets and just a chance to cool and recalibrate.

pre-market huge buys on SPY? I think... one at 7:01 and one just a few minutes ago, that or the charts are showing some shenanigans. At 7:01, the top of the candle shows 434.

can any of you see pre-market volume?

I'd be quite surprised if we limit down under Biden Harris -- something I read, maybe it was Tic that posted it. As long as Trump is lurking in the shadows, they want the market and economy to appear strong.

I also saw an interesting take the other day on put side vol, about so much hedging in market that it doesn't really work. And as those short instruments decay, they must be covered adding one last melt up before the rug is pulled after that capitulation. Seems like a lot of that hedging we see in SKEW is tied to Fed taper speculation....but in the end so much anticipation may not lead to as big a sell off as expected.

It might and might not....one of my observations is just a micro-snapshot of issues I watch - Ive seen them struggle more on green days then how they're performing now, and under pressure. It's going to be interesting for sure.
