Today was my first five-figure loss day due to ELOX, WWR, and pretty much all of energy s#$&ing the bed. Kick in the junk, no doubt.

It's all good, I have faith in the long term for these specific stocks.

I had some horrible trades today. All of them were right but none of them were executed properly.

I made a good bit of that back catching NEGG for most of the afternoon run.

I am excited to see if we get a little time to short some of these over extended stocks.

Also be on the lookout though, a lot of the blue blood stocks are in good spots to make another run at their highs, MMM comes to mind.

On paper I lost more than an average annual salary today, but I had a bunch of dry power and went back in pretty hard on WWR shares and 2022 $2.5 calls, so it was a good opportunity. If ELOX moves down hard again tomorrow it may be an opportunity to buy back those $2.50 and $5 calls for Nov.

Some call it opening range trading, some call it initial balance trading....Google those and YouTube also, you'll find plenty.

I added more 7/16 360P into close. Heck just to 350 and I'm going fishing the rest of the day. Also bought a few SPY ATM puts as well.

5 years ago, I would've made some quip about swiggly lines and tarot cards, but, if I'm being honest, my fundamentally-driven portfolio has been lagging the broad market for 2 months now.

This is when I remind myself that I don't expect names to hit my targets until 18-24 months after I buy.

Haven't seen anymore buying from the ASAN CEO. Maybe he's done and this can go back to $50 where it belongs.
