30K, can you explain what's happening to the shall caps? Is the move towards large caps a hedge against a downturn?

Question for all the traders here.

I have been following everything that has been posted for several months and have tried a few trades...nothing major yet, just getting a feel for how I want to trade.

I have been reading everyone's advice and trying to follow some of the technical stuff and I appreciate all the guys on here freely sharing their accumulated knowledge but it feels like I need a more comprehensive knowledge of things and foundation before I dive in in a big way.

The book on the first post is pretty impossible to find even though I have been looking for it everywhere- library, used book sites, etc for months.

Any recommendations on a few good introductory books for a novice trader to gain an understanding of the technical jargon and analysis and functions of trading?

super fed liquidity and moves indicative of the fed implementing yield curve control but without publicly acknowledging it.

We have both a fed put (price floor to drive employment/inflation goals) and a fed call (price ceiling with threat of tapering). That creates sort of a fed iron condor situation where we could be range bound.

The current bond movements (ZN_F or TNX) are indicative of deflation being more likely than inflation.

I don't think you should be scared, I think you just have to be careful.

In on some more ELOX at 1.65.

Someone mentioned pages ago that $4.42 was a major support. It's about to get tested.

Short answer is "I don't know". Small caps are more sensitive to economical items than the big boys that can weather any storm. Lower yields are driving inflows into tech, which are highly sensitive to high yield because they are growth. The specter of inflation or global turmoil will push small caps down.

That said, IWM has moved from +1 to -1 ATR, which is pretty normal, so I wouldn't panic yet.

It could be a warning for what's to come or it may just reflect inflow into tech.
