If you are scalping intraday and you get movement on trend especially quick movements give it a whirl. Takes the pressure off.

Last week was my first week to deploy as a strategy having tried it a few times the week before.

Last week was also my best week with this locking gains.

I need to get better at setting things like this up with TOS

I use the offset below bid. I try to avoid getting caught in flashes.

When its a normal trend up or down I keep the offset greater. But when its quick moved like that I set it tighter.

Just be aware of your cost and your trail should not execute you into a loss.

Using stops like this on option you'll get all sorts of opinions. I don't use them on monthly normal calls or puts. That is what I use alerts for.

Yep. I am not convinced we don't test yesterday's high or possibly close yet before tomorrow.

But I also position sized so its not something I am worried about.

I'm new(ish) so this advice and a quarter might get you a cup of coffee...

NIO is overextended to me - currently at 98 (whoop!) on RSI(2) and well over +3 ATR. The last few times it's done this it's come back and at least come close if not past the current day's low the next trading day (today's low is $50.55). I'm thinking of selling a 7/2 $50C and using the proceeds to buy 10 7/2 $50Ps (will more than cover it). Tomorrow I'll manage this like a hawk and sell as it comes close (hopefully) to that low.

FYI to all who saw this - the trade worked out but I played it wrong. I should have chosen a put closer to the money as the theta decay got it and a closer to the money put would have done better from an intrinsic value standpoint as it went down.

I exited when I saw the volume spike into the bottom V (thanks OA!) - even though I didn't play it exactly right it's better to learn while still making money!

And one last note ... I didn't do this but should have bought a $53 call on the rebound (model T from $55 high and $51 low) as it's headed back that direction now.

Looks like an inverted H&S forming on the SPY one minute.

Just my 2 cents anyway.

• It is just in a long consolidation Darvas Box.
• The the two huge volume candles didn't move the price and don't think that is the retail guys buying it up.
• Notice the Volume Profile where its consolidating.
• Currently -1ATR
• Its at a support level now and could always drop down to low $7s (which is -3ATR). I'd be a buyer there again.

I'll go with the longer it consolidates the larger the move someday.

Sellers are throwing up some big chunks in front of this thing, 1.93 and 1.94 fell easy but there's a lot of ask sitting at 1.95. Bid volume is finally higher though, hopefully the volume continues to increase!
