I buy/sell SPY in the 15 minutes after bell all the time through TOS. I should stop doing it but I do it. I'm trying to imitate FJ and I tend to fail miserably at it.

You're only trying between 3 and 3:15, right? Regardless i can't ever get td (edit: not using tos) to consistently fill spy options orders in the after hour window. I do gtc+ext and it still seems luck of the draw whether or not they fill. Very frustrating

I'm on Schwab so not sure what the TDA selections are, but the regular trading hours for SPY options last until 3:15, so it doesn't need the extended hours designation

• The red trendlines are back to Jan 2020 and long term.
• Has tried to move through and rejected 2X
• Lost lower trendline and below all EMAs except 200
• Support should be about 361.23...ish where you can see is what supported after losing trend a few weeks ago and prior.
• -2 ATR is about 335.39 and has a history of touching that.

If me I wait to see what happens at first support below and if not the -2ATR around 355.39.

Question on charting - I've been working on one year weeklies and dailies. You mention going back to January 2020, you doing that to see where things were pre-covid?

This has potential for a breakout IMO, forming a wedge coming off a recent high. I would keep an eye on it and look for an entry if it stays above ~$29.50, especially if markets dump and it holds up.

Quick what I see....

• It held MT from the move here with a couple attempts to lose it.
• Sitting right on the ATR mean.
• If using the wicks (which I do) the upper line intersects with a resistance level. That IMO will be resistance even if breaks out of the flag.

IMO it needs to clear that circle to go. I would set a volume alert looking for a 2nd goal post and also one about $31.50 to break the flag.

Ok here is what I see...

It is consolidating now and may have found a base at about 1.53-1.60.
I added a volume profile to see alignment with next resistance.
Needs above $2 then $2.15 will be a fairly strong resistance IMO.
After 2.15 it should move back to MT
MT = 3.09

Watch for volume to break the $2 mark - 8 tries so far.

Buys in the 1.81 range with risk off at 1.46 for calculating RR isn't a bad setup. Loses 1.46 and probably 1.20s next stop.

Also has an options chain to leverage for buy-write. October $3C you could sell for $0.25 so called away for $3.25 vs. $1.81 or a cost basis of $1.56 at base support.

August $2 are $0.30 FWIW

Yes and I'll go back a a long way for the long term trend and often that early 2020 covid time has an impact on longer term trends. I will also look at shorter term as well.

Sometimes the stock may have been trading a lot higher pre-covid is why and those trend lines and SR levels will come into play.

Couldn't leave one undone for the night. This is rough on my iPad and a fat finger as a pen. So not exacts.

Interesting chart here.
Using 5/13 low it tested MT today which is also about the 21EMA.
Lots of volume.

Holds this spot and could be a good entry for the bounce. Really needs to hold here or the 50EMA may be in play. Kind of doubt it goes there with that volume but gapped down a bit.

Important spot at the moment IMO.

Didn't check options chain since I'm using TradingView on my iPad.
