I'm going to start looking into cloud backup - probably MS first - that I may use for business but would also be able to back everything up for personal investing and such.

SKEW

Not sure if y'all can see this better but at least in my mind there is no doubt a shooting dot on Friday close.

Click on the chart and it should go almost full screen for you.

  • This goes back to 2012.
  • It almost always precedes some degree of pullback.
  • Not always big and sometimes days and sometimes weeks.
  • I see some pullbacks that don't necessarily have a shooting dot but the cluster was extended.
  • The % up though may be the largest shoot up from the cluster that was already above the respective mean in the period.
  • SKEW has had a fairly parabolic move the past month.
  • Orange line is SPX

Good idea.

I am pretty sure most brokers have a cloud back-up. I just use the desktop version on IBKR Pro.

Top chart is Daily and bottom Weekly.

If this hold support around 53.32ish then sometime between now and July 12th...ish it should make a decision if it wants to maintain trend. I guess could always consolidate outside of the triangle above 53.

Note: Closed below the 8EMA Friday for first time in a while but I think AH got back above.

Anyone have thoughts on SAM? Currently been buying on its way down from $1300/share to $975/share. With bars/restaurants opening back up & summer almost in full effect (Truly) earnings should definitely have upside.

  • Held support around 241 on higher volume Friday in smaller range candle.
  • Closed below 8EMA but above support.
  • Cup/handle possibly here in the handle.

I'm not a beer snob or anything, but Sam Adam's has some of the worst beer. But then I realized, they aren't really a beer company. They are an adult beverage company with strong brands like Truly or Dogfish Head.

As for my thoughts - Way to expensive for my tastes.

I've got 7/2 427P I took on at close for a trade only not a hedge. Hope to get some back test move to cash out then look to take out a longer term hedge.

Also have a few VIX 18C for this week on for fun.

Thanks. I'm sure all generations say this in some form but it's really hard for us to get kids outside. Competing with on demand access to tv shows, video games, and social media is complicated and a constant battle.

If you extend those two brontosaurus head trendlines, guess where they converge around the beginning of August...



Last couple of times it hit +1 ATR, it bounced off and and went below -1 ATR. Someone talk me out of a 7/16 $75p right now...

I have quite a bit of bearish spreads that will expire in July and I need to make a decision on them. I thought that was more than enough time when I opened them but now I think we may run out of time. I see the crazy SKEW like FJ was posting about but I will not be surprised if this administration doesn't keep manipulating the market upwards like the previous one did during the covid recovery. Every time we bounce off the 50-day and the Fed backs it up we lose some bears. Even on low volume the bulls may be able to keep this running for another week or another few months.

I've been out of everything long but MAs for over a week and will figure out if I'll roll these spreads or ride them to max pain.

On the macro pullback posts, everyone is overlooking the key indicator. We will have a > 10% pullback when Aggiedaniel comes back down from Mount Sinai and tells us it will happen. Just be ready with your lambs blood.
