What the heck is going on with $NOV? Oil is holding steady above 70, the rig count keeps consistently going up and has a ton of room to go to get back to even 75% of pre-COVID levels. The stock is trading around 5 year lows despite coming back from the depths of 2020... yet its down 6% again today on a generally sideways day for the Dow.

It would be a poor choice if long term as all VXX and UVXY ever do is go down, except for the volatility spikes (where VXX and UVXY jump upward a bit)

Do verticals, call spreads and go out a couple weeks. I don't mess with calls anymore on VXX, too fast of a premium burn. (at least for me, Foggy and FJ are pros at it)
