I do all my trading basically in my rollover IRA for that reason. Tax free gains then taxed at ordinary income in retirement. You can sell weekly calls and make thousands per week and compound that so that in retirement you have a huge nest egg.

Every dollar that you withdraw from a 401k is taxed, whether it be principal or "gains". And it will be taxed as ordinary income. Until you withdraw, though, the gains are tax free.

Again, watch COIN. climbing back up b/c of whole crypto space today, but their revenue and profits are solid. They're make a real world fee every single time someone makes a transaction, and for all the talk they still have no real competitors who can make any money.

Yes sorry I should have specified. I trade in my rollover from my traditional 401k and my roth. My rollover is 8 times the size of my roth so I focus on that one mostly. I hold mainly amazon in my Roth and can't do options till a stock split then I will. Thought about moving money around to do more options in the roth but also know at some point probably next year I won't be able to contribute anymore and don't want to be too too risky since I can't add more money to that one

Going to try my hand at calling a shot here to be more involved .

$poww with a nice inverse head and shoulders . Really moved with macro dip last time, expecting any decent move with market will send this significantly higher .

If I wasn't in it already, I would wait and see how it acts near the close and early tomorrow. I think there's a good chance that shorts will try to push it back towards the 50 SMA for at least a test. If it bounces from there then that would be the time to go long via calls and good shot of squeezing the shorts for the breakout move. That's the high probability play. You could jump in now and hope for the squeeze to keep pushing past that $130.50 level but not the highest probability setup. It could also consolidate tomorrow and base above the 50 SMA a day or two so no need to burn premium during consolidation.

Bought aapl $30 6/18 calls at .38 last week, I just exited 2/3rds of them at 1.27 so I am sure it will scream up now. I just had to count the win and move after I nearly messed up my CLOV play last week buying back expensive covered calls getting greedy

I find myself at 43% cash again after exiting a chunk of CLOV into $28, along with several long term holds I exited on or around new 52 week highs. I am content to work some options with less capital until we do get a good correction, even though markets have held off selling the intraday pressure points.

SKEW, VIX rising, PUT/CALL ratio heavy bull side. We could have another leg up that is short lived to bake in some extra gains but I've gone to a risk off position.
