I've been scalping SPY but tighter and faster ins and outs. Overall I am probably slightly green to flat on those. I added a few 423P at downtrend rejection. May sit on these a bit but the higher lows and lower highs will pick a direction sooner or later.

I've bought some each time in the 1.70s. Then sell calls on any move into the high $1.80s+

Well, the admin just passed a $50 Billion bill to support semiconductor manufacturing here in the US and a bunch of congressmen have large aapl positions.. plus OA posted it so it checked enough boxes for me to throw a small amount as a lotto.

I think so. IV has come down a bit on the $2.5 Jul-Aug options, looks like pretty good support in 1.70 range since the right goal post.

I am in and out quick today on these. Trying to hold discipline....trying anyway.

VIX has been on an uptrend today with higher highs and lows which to me correlates to the tightening of the triangle on the underlying I am trading.

VIX is almost at NHOD now. So this will give one way or the other I think soon here.

I followed on this (small position), it got as high as .85 from my .75 entry and then I got stopped out around .60 and it is .40 now.

Brings up a question I often have... when these big players grab 20K contracts of something are they usually looking for a minimum return? The .10 from entry is pretty solid across 20,000 contracts, but I would think someone making a big bet like that is expecting at least 25-30% returns, no?

That is one of the main downsides of just following cheddarflow is you don't know what the target is for the person you are following

I've heard people on this bot trying to figure out why VIX and VVIX aren't in sync today. I am not sure what the difference is.

So, I'm not a twitter furu, but here is my thinking on some NQ levels

  • Mean: 13640
  • +1 ATR: 13858
  • +2 ATR: 14040 (14060 ATH also here)
  • +3 ATR: 14237 (I would probably consider 14150 to be a level)
  • -1 ATR: 13400

Way above, which I don't see us getting: 14374 +2 ATR on weekly and 14800, which is close enough to +3 ATR and the 161.8 Fib from the most recent high to low.

This what I am seeing and live trendlines intraday. See all the trend line breaks and VIX movement? Tightening of the tringle on SPY with lower highs and higher lows but steady uptrend in VIX?

I don't know but it's over 4X what I bought in at. Followed the OA handbook, sold 1/2 at 100%, sold 1/2 of what was left when it hit that 4 bagger mark and given it's an August call I'm willing to see where this goes.
