Well said FJ. My trading "mentor" so to speak didn't convince his spouse it was not "funny money" until he reviewed his 2020 tax return with her. Gains become real to a spouse when you write a check to pay taxes on them.

This is what I'm curious to see next year. This will be my first year with some pretty solid gains to be taxed on (provided I don't lose it all the 2nd half of the year) so I'm sure that conversation will be interesting

I'm so glad I married a country girl who only wants the occasional new horse every decade or so and is C Level within her organization. She knows what it is like to cut the checks to keep people fed and employed, so when she does ask for something, it's well deserved and can possibly return a gain.

She hates purchasing assets that depreciate and she'll allocate money to me quarterly to invest.

I consider myself extremely lucky.


She also sees your returns and knows giving you coin is wise

I am also going to take credit, today, for starting to accumulate AMC last Nov/December. I sold my final shares at $40. What we are seeing now is just stupid.

I sold covered calls yesterday morning and today my retirement account was up 16%... I'm most likely getting called on all positions Friday baring a miracle. It still has about 5% on each position to go to hit that. Just wish I was patient and waited till today to sell calls. So if I were you that's what I would do. Sell Friday exp calls first thing in the morning

that may be the strangest chart I've ever seen. 2 giant sell bars (daily), where the sp moonshot and sold off completely. Maybe I'm missing something.

I was on the rocket but exited. 10/10 would ride again!!

In all seriousness I'm probably just going to watch and see how it starts. I jumped in a little after the party started and it still shot up $10 from where I entered calls.

Yep should have held onto those SPY 421P through open. Would have paid nicely.

SPY has been in a fairly tight range between 419-421 for a few days so let's see what today brings. To the downside 418.61 then 417.54 are my lines to watch.

Qs more or less living between 332-334. 330 would be my number to watch on the downside.

Oh...SNDL at $1.49 premarket.
