Doing some messing around and it seems like in a chop like we've had lately... long debit spreads on the VIX would pay... As mentioned earlier, boring but win.

Part of me doesn't blame people for sitting home. Wages are garbage in this country. Hell, I know people with good white collar jobs that struggle to make it every month because wages haven't kept pace.

Plus the hard workers who stick it out just keep getting loaded with more work and responsibility as their peers leave for the sit at home life.

Always possible. Without studying charts yet and making my Plan A for tomorrow gut says I'll be 'betting' to the downside more than up.

I think the bigger problem is people spend too much.
Everyone wants a massive house with hard wood flooring abs granite counter tops , nice new cars, constant flow of new clothes and eat out all the time. The bulk of Americans are overextended. If they simply spent less, the money they made would go further. Yes things themselves are more expensive but people also overspend.

Curious on the boards thoughts.

Basically SPY, Qs, IWM, ES, NQ, etc. all closed below the 8 & 21 EMAs.

Lowest volume in about 10 to 11 trading days though.

We have a spending problem more than an income problem. By we, I mean citizens and the government. The US definition of poverty is way different than a lot of the world.

Guys... 20 and 24 are psychological levels for VIX. For a bull market to continue, we'd want it to be south of 20.

It's also easy to trade weeklies when we yoyo between 17 and 20>24. I've rolled up profits something like 10x in the past couple of weeks trading VIX calls/puts. 4 of which were multi baggers.

With the Fed backstop, its even easier than normal.

catch-22, without consumption the economy stalls. If everyone saved and invested we would have have company valuations with very high price to earnings multiples because we are owning assets instead of giving those businesses revenue.

Oh wait..... we already have that.

If you're unhappy and under appreciated then just leave. The biggest pay increases you'll get are from changing jobs especially in markets like this where companies can't hire fast enough. The number of mid and senior level jobs I am seeing right now is insane.

The idea of being loyal to a company unless it's your own is completely outdated.

Really compelling case made here. Seems to line up with classic Wyckoff Distribution. Anyone smarter than me have some thoughts?

Tic recently asserted that BTC could see as low as 28-30K and this matches his thesis.

FYI, inflated wages for fast food entry level positions caused by government in a hyper inflation environment will not include more professional careers because businesses will go under. Inflation is going to erode your purchasing power and your family will be worse off. You deserve the government you elect. I hope Biden voters lose their jobs and feel a lot of pain.

Have y'all looked at the houses first time home buyers are getting?
They are 50-70% larger than houses were 20-30 years ago, with "standard features" that were the top end upgrades from 20 years ago. Cars are getting so expensive it's getting out of control and yet they are in so much demand you can't get one. I read an article the other day saying 5that nationally the average college graduate "expects" to earn $85k straight out of college and over $200k within 5 years.
The problem is that companies can't afford to pay that without drastically increasing prices.

I know so many people who live paycheck to paycheck
