Seems like RIOT, MARA, SINO, SOS etc are all staying down pretty much no matter what happens.
RIOT is literally at half its price it was hanging at for over a month.

PLTR has earnings before the bell tomorrow. This sell off into earnings has been odd to see. It's sold off hard which is opposite of what we've seen this year with stocks rallying into earnings and sell off afterwards. I'm going to sit on my position through earnings and see where we are tomorrow after their announcement. My average is $25.2 so it would take a nice rally to get me back to a solid position but that's what call premium is for.

Same - I've decided it's safer and less volatile just to invest directly into the crypto projects I believe in, rather than the miners. Really like BTC and ADA. With that said, BTC has been consolidating for over a month now, and looks poised to move well above $70K in the near future. Hard to believe RIOT doesn't eclipse $50.00 again when that happens.

There was a story over the weekend that the big hedge funds are all shorting tech. It's something like 9 of the last 10 days running.

That aside, talking about the crypto miners - that used to be an easy entry point for those who wanted a piece of crypto trading. As the exchanges and places like Paypal have made it easier to get into crypto, people are just buying crypto.

Today makes me think trying to suck retail in short or on puts only to fck em over the rest of the week.

starting the week with a profitable trade - NDX call credit spreads.

Looking at the macros, this feels like a big shake so far today.

Looking at this from the Carter teachings:

TRIN is on a gentle upslope (okay, this is trending bearish).
TICK has basically yo-yoed between 0 and 600 (noise, but on the right side of zero)
PCALL slightly bearish
VOLSPD dropped big right out of the gate, bottomed out near zero, but has started and upward climb
The carry trade (AUD/JPY) dropped out of the gate but coming back (bottomed out down .29%)

What gives?

I feel like I'm starting to agree with a few on here and move from miners to actual crypto. I just learned you can buy crypto on Venmo, which seems super easy.

That said, you can choose from Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin. Does anyone have any recs on the "best" one to choose to get started?

I am trying to decide if I just wait on the miners to come back and dump them or dump and take a loss. I would assume if BTC goes on any real run, and the Hedges eventually stop shorting everything tech, that the miners will go back up at least to what I paid for them....or close.

The shorting of growth and tech would explain a lot and the fact that my portfolio has taken a 8-10 day hit.

I don't know if HF are shorting Tech/Growth, but makes since if they are. There is a rotation from Tech/Growth to Value that has been taking place. Example - I've got a large T position I hold for dividends and holy cow it's up .51 cents today and the quarterly dividend is .52. It's a paper gain for me, but it's a huge paper gain for me. T over the last couple years has reacted more like a bond versus a stock.

Reminds me of ROKU last week. Dumped into earnings and then rocket up. Complete opposite what we've seen the last several earnings seasons.
