I bought some Chevron.

I sold the remaining mutual fund S&P 500 holding I have in my son's Coverdale ESA. I hold no S&P.

Cash heavy for me,...about 25% of total portfolio.

Then I need to start learning more about puts.

I have been scanning daily charts 6 month time frame and looking for Stocks with nice set ups. i.e. Just made a move above 8/21 day moving average, gap to fill, RDR, etc. I will look at calls 2 weeks to 30 days out and go with a strike I think the stock can move too with lots of volume. I'm still learning and these are some tips from OA and Reidler that I have picked up. I have had a couple good plays that have paid well over the last few weeks, so either I'm starting to get it or getting lucky or a little of both.

You can do it. Just seat time and commitment to the craft. I am still learning every day and hope I never stop.

Sorry for the amount of data on the chart but this is what I have and how I use it for scalping SPY.

Each color of line means a time frame of support/resistance.
Yellow are trends.

You can see when it broke the downtrend yellow line it didn't back test it. That was my buy signal on calls then scalped out when it hit the upper yellow line that goes back to 4/16-4/29 connections. Rejected right at it.

I could be very wrong but think this at least back tests 419.70s where we spent some of today without revisiting. Was also multiple days of resistance which could be new support. Lower is 418ish then chatter and 416.30 which has been a good line to trade from. If SPY wants to back test the yellow downtrend then that will be in the 417s.

Just my sick mind at work anyway.

2 things.

I botched this "scalp" today. I sat there and watched this run up 20% in just a couple hours. But that's the problem. I just sat there. I never pulled the trigger and closed it... it slowly leaked back down to break even so now I'm overnighting this NKE put into Monday. Meanwhile NKE is up .55 after hours. WHAT AN IDIOT!



2nd thing, I've been wanting to create a trading log. And of course St. Ripster has what I think will be the best option.

I know it can seem like that but it really isn't. Also this is for scalping and swings not long term really. Yes you can use it for long term but most will be noise.

If I took away all the daily, hourly, 10 min support/resistance horizontal lines it would just be a bunch of candles. All it is is identifying from daily level to hourly to 10 min support/resistance lines. Then connect the dots to the highest wick levels at angles. The rest are just alerts that are set.

I use colors to tell me long, mid, short term trends. That way I don't have to think on the fly.

Add in a few basic studies like EMAs, Bollinger, MACD, Volume and RSI they all tie together to tell a story.

Keep in mind I am learning what works best for what I am attempting so make it your own as you go.

Bitcoin on the other hand is at the mean and is exhibiting bullish characteristics. I bought 1 BTC today for a push to 65,000.

$MA - affected by job numbers today and potential impact on interest rates not increasing.

Buy above 380, target 400.

$MMM buy on backtest of mean ($198 region) for push above ATH.

$GM I think this is going to go ape ***** I expect a retest of ATH if macros cooperate. June calls, probably 61C. Ideal entry $58.0 area.

$XLY consumer discretionary cannot really be held back much longer and these companies are going to smash earnings. OK entry here, target $180.90. Ideal entry $176.

$AMT - riskier, but I want you to to see the volume. 5G play.

$ERIC another 5G play. I would do shares.

$HAL - you country bumpkins ought to like this one. Buy it at $21, not $23.

I've got a coworker huge into crypto and he is convinced the next pullback on ETH won't be until it gets above 12k. I'm pretty sure he is wrong from a technical perspective but he's been more right than wrong on crypto.
