I was going to ask the same thing. I get a call once a day and a message left for me and one for my dad (who isn't invested in WWR) asking me to vote on Proxy. It's been happening every day for 3 weeks and it's like someone from India. I honestly started to get worried that something was wrong with the company...

I shoot for 2% a week in my trading account and being close to the S&P 500 in my long term account (excluding dividends and covered calls).
I would consider this year to be a major success if I get 50% return. Last year was over 100%.

Morning All....
Futures a bit red this morning and early premarket a bit of red.
Qs look weaker this morning at touching 334.
SPY testing 417.
SKEW was 146 Friday and yesterday 143 so in the zone to hedge if you haven't.
May get the R/G day or more chop like yesterday. If I was guessing we test that 416.30ish range again at some point. I still think we are going up but not as fan of the Qs right now. May look to reduce tech plays somewhat.

So I have been charting this one a while. After yesterday getting some action and rejection in the $1.80s pretty hard, I needed to go back and look at history. This needs some sort of solid catalyst, buyout, merger, etc. I think to move where we want it to.
I have no idea where this is going but on a daily view it would look like its building for some sort of break upwards.
However....trades in tighter range each period but stair stepping down after these periods. MACD averages has an overall uptrend, volume is relatively flat across the whole period. If we approach or cross the 0.0 line on MACD this probably breaks downward again IMO based on history.
I'm probably missing something here but IMO needs something big to move it.

On that thought, I had a question on using puts to protect capital. I have a decent gain in MRNA and they're basically at ATH with earnings a couple days away. The way stocks are getting hammered at earnings, I don't see how they could possibly meet expectations let alone beat.
Are OTM puts a good way to handle this kind of situation? Particularly a weekly that doesn't cost as much premium due to time value? I was thinking of grabbing some "cheap" OTM weeklies as a hedge so to speak.

VEON is the play for guys who like their chicks flat and unmotivated.
Puts are one way but I suspect more are selling covered calls on their shares vs. buying puts. Cash is always a hedge don't forget and a position. I am moving more to cash personally while I am carrying puts on SPY and will probably add some for Qs.Cookiemonster64 said:

Selling covered calls on shares at highs is one good way. ATM or a few OTM usually has max premium if going short date ahead. If we have some softness, pullback, correction, etc. you can generate cash flow and premium gain on those. Not to mention reduce cost basis and exposure. They are also a form of hedge. You can go further out for more premium to say June and a chance you will buy those back for a gain at some point unless the stock just keeps going up without any pullback.
I am off to meeting but I am sure the group here can chime in with additional pathways.
