Go to Vegas. Pick a number on the roulette wheel and put $2100 on it. Repeat once each night until it hits or you run out of money. If you hit early everything you didn't bet is gravy. If you run out of money without hitting find a comfy alley to start giving mouthskys because you're gonna be there a while

Take $25k and set it aside. Take the other $25k and fold it in half, then lay it on the other$25k you set aside. If you hold the stack just right it'll look like $75k

I use both the chart setup for support and resistance as well as options order flow to help determine my strike and date. On reversals I often use Model T or Fib 50% as max strike. If I can make a strike between those two work I'll go with it. Seldom do I buy a strike that isn't likely to be reached on long calls.
My personal goal on long calls is to have the call be ITM or at the very least approach it for exit prior to theta decay.
Just my approach anyway.

With the big earnings week coming up, what are y'all's favorite setups? Is it too risky to enter trades on earnings week? I'm specifically looking at AMZN and the weekly squeeze it's in. Googl looks like a good setup as well

Or just buy next expiry, first strike otm calls at close every day and close them at open (or short shares premarket in case of crazy early movement). Been a solid strategy lately.

Maybe spy straddles expiring friday? Seems a week full of heavy hitters like this could make or break the whole market

Thanks for the answers. This question came about because I got into a discussion about making quick money with my cousin yesterday. He is a dogecoin believer. Thinks he's gonna be rich.
I like this. As long as betting on the trend (up or down) technicals and have the time to manage them. I'm a believer in hitting singles and doubles over and over with the occasional home run in between.NRD09 said:

Scalping I usually stay ATM or 1-2 OTM that are within support/resistance lines. Sometimes the higher priced strike is what pays. Always fun to buy a few lottery tickets though.

I think CLOV is going to be a while. I do think it gets back to the $14-15 mark, but it may take months to get there. And probably next year before it gets to $20
That 9.30 - 9.40 level is going to be key. Was support on the second big day 4/19 and then was the literal top on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The nice thing is we've seen a higher "low of day" on those past three days as well -> $8.00, 8.50 and then 8.75. Need 9.30s to base as new support then 9.75 is going to be next key level. Lot of supply probably at 9.75 (daily vwap on 4/19) from people trying to buy breakout into 10s.ag94whoop said:tv1113 said:

MARA has bounced from roughly the 100 day ma. I don't think you get any more of a dip than that. (unless bitcoin really crashes, but there's too much big money in it at this point for that to happen) - thinking of SQ and TSLA to name 2.jimmo said:

I don't see this happening until Q4 2021. Think they're saving it for Andy Jassy for when he assumes CEO role in Q3. It'll give him a PR boost and good running start.
