Ok, so why is it called a model T? Maybe I didn't read far enough to find the explanation

Added some 4/30 QQQ 338P here for a hedge. 340 is giving the QQQ fits. If it breaks and builds above 340, I'll dump them

Just saw what I did in February and realized I sold calls on my $5 cost basis WWR at the August $15 strike for $3.20 when the stock was running... Bought them back today for 93% gain reduced my cost basis to $2/share.
Unreal what I learned here.
Now my question becomes:
If I used the proceeds to buy more shares when it fell, does that make my cost basis even lower? I wasn't sure how often people use covered call money to buy more shares and how that affects your basis.
This is in my retirement account so not worried about tax purposes. Just wondering how my basis is affected.
Premium collected is capital gains. Your costs basis calculation is manual. If you reinvest the premium it is a new transaction.RenoAg said:Aggiesincebirth said:

I'm wondering about this too. I'm guessing premium is not really reducing your basis on the stock for tax purposes. It's just a mental/psychological way of tracking it for trading strategy considerations. Premium would be taxed as income separately from the stock transactions. ***Pure guess on my part.
