i have a wild idea to buy GME puts out to january...like at $20 strike. they are cheap, and my sense is that over the next few months GME continues to slide down. maybe i could double my money pretty easy.

is this too risky a bet?

During it's last lull it only went to $40 or so. $20 strike is risky IMO, even if the reditors get out.
right, but i'm looking more that low just to play cheaper. perhaps it won't reach 20 that soon, although i do believe it's likely to trend that way as time goes on and the meme fades off.

UAVS needs to pivot from between here and $4.47 or $4 & $3 are real possibilities.

Am I reading this right they have a market cap over $300M and revenue of <$1.5M?

AlI have are May calls, no shares...but I should start one of these tomorrow, go public and cash out.

Can it break 397.69 today? I see resistance at 393.90ish level then.....maybe 397.69, 403.50, 418.50, 433.50, etc.

It could. However remember even without the meme crazy, there were people that liked their rebranding ideas and new business model. I do think you're likely to see some downward movement and you are thinking right as far as picking an expiry a long time from now that shouldn't see a lot of theta decay. I'd just suggest making sure you set some sell points based on underlying stock price to go net free or take some profit. It feels like a good trade to make some money, but one that can go bad if you hold too long trying to make lots of money.

Is The Treasury Mini-Bear Rally Over?... Will There Be Another Leg?

The "Wow Factor" of Economic numbers seems to be wearing off from a catalyst for treasury market movements... Chinese numbers last night were off the charts with 18.3% GDP, 33.9% Retail Sales and so on... But the US Retail sales numbers of 9.8% yesterday should have moved the markets more than just a few seconds blip... We have been pointing out the potential of a bear market rally in treasuries this week, even with 120 billion over 3 years, 10 years and 30 years... Supply tends to bring out buyers... The expected rally reached our level on long bonds of 2.21... Did not reach our extended level of 10 years of 1.47, but did reach our secondary objective of 1.52... And 5 years broke to .79....late yesterday JPM came with the largest bank deal ever of over 13 billion... And it had plenty of duration... GS came with 6 billion... Total of 25 billion was priced... That stopped the rally and overnight 10 years hit 1.59... We saw some large selling from Japanese accounts in both 5 year and 10 year futures, taking nice profits... Buy since 4am there has been a bid in treasuries trying to grind back yesterday... So we ask the question above, "is the mini-bear rally over?...

Equities are higher this morning, there is no catalyst stopping equities for now, but the vaccinations versus covid cases is not looking as strong as before... Cases are rising, while J+J stays on the sidelines... This could be a problem for the equity market moves... But the next few months of economic numbers look off the charts good... There has been subtle movements in Powell speeches, certainly he has had lots of exposure recently, and a piece was out yesterday talking about tapering sooner rather than later... And it would be lead by Powell... Meanwhile the Fed Balance Sheet hit another record of 7.8 trillion last night... With the bulk of the buying in the latest week of 79 billion increase, 64 billion of mortgages... No wonder our desk sees limited value in the space currently.

One of the things we are noticing are differences in how European bonds are trading... Spreads between Bunds and Treasuries are narrowing...part of that may be the changes in swaps, but we think the FT "Is Euro peak pessimism passed?" coupled with the BB article "can the ECB become optimistic and start tilting towards a Taper?" are both on to reasons why the Bunds Treasury spreads are narrowing... In fact we can argue the ECB is already starting to taper, they just don't know it yet.

We could go on, but will leave the rest for the Monday morning detailed piece... Today we will be watching the treasury closes... If the new lows break at the close then we will have another push to the next levels of 1.47 10 years and 2.125 long bonds... If not then we think higher rates start their next leg.

Kudos to the players in the two long auctions this week... Buying 38 billion 10 years at 1.68 and kicking them out 3 days later at 1.54... Who says treasury players can't make money

Crypto

Some general thoughts. PSA, rant, I am not sure.

There are haters and lovers of it. Some think a flash in the pan and others with expectations that think BTC sees $500k. Doesn't matter to me either way honestly.

I think it is here to stay. Ultimately will be taxed and regulated like anything else. Collaboratively between countries because governments HAVE in their minds to control and get their hands in to things. Especially taxation.

With that we all talk about Bitcoin, Doge, Ethereum, etc. Those 3 are not equal and one doesn't even fit. There is money to be made in crypto as a trade regardless if you hold it for eternity or retirement. You can manage it no differently than stocks with alerts, limit orders, stop losses, etc.

Doge has skyrocketed in short order % wise. Be careful IMO. You could be an astronaut like some GME holders. Trim, take your profits or whatever IMO and not be waiting for it to get to 60k.

Just check out a few charts of the dozens and dozens out there. Lots you could have traded for the last 6 months at technical levels and had a 3,4, 5, 6X+ returns. There are many, many like this and I would be careful to focus on the ones you may be left stranded in. Many have been burned by social media stocks. Take your profits along the way or at least be net free on it.

That's all.

Might be, but I think a lot may be cautious retail exiting before May and YOLO retail going heavier into crypto and NFTs. For a lot of these stocks it looks like lower volume price drops, not MMs powering down with their red hammers of death.

These alt crypto coins are just like penny stocks, plain and simple. A .20 alt coin is just as likely to move to 0.05 or 0.01 as much as it is to 0.50 or 1.00. They are speculative trading vehicles and prices rises/declines usually have no bearing on the success/failure of the thesis behind whatever that coin was supposed to signify.

Just like penny stocks.
