I think all crypto related are going to be a mess for a few days if not longer due to the COIN listing today.

Lots of folks were investing in those because they couldn't afford bitcoin (or maybe as a supplement). COIN gives them more direct exposure to bitcoin than the miners do.

Just my .02 (as a holder of MARA, DPW, SOS, SINO).

If you sell puts you are either wanting to own the shares for the strike price less the premium you receive for selling them

Or

You are expecting to keep the premium because you'll likely never get assigned the shares.

It is also a way to angle into shares for a low net entry and you get the premium today to use for other trades.

Edit: Should clarify if a cash account your cash will be tied up for the strike X 100 X number of contracts until expiration.

Technically a higher high and a higher low... I have 5/21 $800C that are red right now. Not concerned though

I noticed it pinged and bounced at the Model T about 3:40 EST prior to close from the 4/7 to yesterday high. Used that combine with holding all MAs well today.

We shall see but I think your May will be golden.

I think maybe what he's looking for is a spread? You are looking to take premium on a stock you expect to rise in price or at least stay the same, right? Like when you sell OTM covered calls because you don't expect the stock to rise to that price?

If a stock has a share price of $20 you could for instance sell the $17.5 put and buy the $15 put for a credit. That way you max out your loss at $2.5 less the premium you took.

I want to show you guys something I noticed today. Look what has happened recently when the SPX has gotten overbought - it has sold off. Look at now - it is not having a dramatic drop off and may digest through time vs. price.

I do think we may be setting up for parabolic highs into late May / early June based on the slope up here.

I always look for the 'pin' on the OI in SPY, IWM, QQQ, etc. to tell me where the week ends.
