Hmmmmm....
It's pretty rare to have more than 3 down weeks in a row. The COVID disaster a year ago was 5 down weeks before a major rally.
Ok gents....quick messy chart but some thoughts. Rough day on some fronts.

Volume was heavy today as seen in the chart
Bounced and closed around key levels multiple times.
Closed below main channel and into secondary (has been here before though)
Touched -2 ATR and bounced but closed below -1
RSI just barely under 40
Where does it go from here? Would have felt better if we could have recaptured MT intraday around 378ish. I think we may have more of the same tomorrow and could be an inside or sideways day. Just a guess.....

I wouldn't mind a good inside day for good scalping oppos.
Personally, if we do channel between 375-378 tomorrow, I'd like a good gap up to that 378 level and yoyo from there on out.
As the one poster said on here, I'm just going to take an "ass bath" on the 390s I decided to hold overnight. Oh well.

So any advice for folks finding themselves a bit too deep in the recent board-wide investments? Hold? Sell some? It seems like if people still aren't buying in hard then selling some portion now might be prudent? It would be a bit more helpful than the chiding for not being around long or not done enough to try to time a pullback.
I'm thankful I've taken most of my profits out along the way this past year, but I'm down $100k in the trading account over the last couple weeks even with hedging and a good portion in cash. No bueno.

The macro markets look horrible so support levels and what not for stocks really don't mean all that much because it's hard for individual stocks to paddle against the current. If you do buy at support levels, don't use margin and don't get scared out of holding a good stock just because it violated a line on the graph.Mostly Foggy Recollection said:

If your looking for scalping opportunities, tomorrow morning might provide some excellent prospects. I think the futures will be down after the jobs report, regardless of if that number is good or bad. If the futures are down hard, look for entry points on some solid plays (Ie, PLTR, FUBO, BIGC, NXTD, MARA). I prefer buying shares because I don't like reccing option plays, but if you do, I'd give yourself at minimum 6 weeks out for option plays.
Money can be made when the right opportunity presents itself.

I was referring to scalping SPY weeklies. Nothing else.

Based on the doom and gloom I'm seeing, we got some trading "experts" on the twitter gadget manufacturing some future Black Swan events.
It's quite entertaining, and I feel like I'm watching Black Mirror in real time.

we did bounce from the bottom trend line you have shown (I think Mancini showed the same today around 3710, being very strong support). I'd like to think this is like the January drop, we rally hard soon, but the selling today was fierce.FJ43 said:
