I'm all for doing what you need to do, but I'm gonna guess there's only a handful of folks on here that have both the level of jack in the market and the fortitude to be up and trading at 3am.

For 99% of us, 6:00 am is gonna be plenty early to trade.

So I missed this, but the UK has said that as of June 21, outdoor concerts can be at full capacity and Live Nation has already sold out 2 events in august

We are almost there boys...

Can confirm. Reading & Leeds festival in August also a planned go. Glastonbury unfortunately cancelled though. From June 21, everything is a planned go including full capacity indoors with no social distancing. Hell they're now planning to open late night dance clubs then as well.

PS: Missed you guys the past week or so due to work drama. Next week should be better.

Almost 1/3 of population vaccinated at least one dose. All adults by mid/late June.

I don't need to be awake for my GTC order to sell at a specified mark to execute.

I'm glad I had afterhours trading the other day when DNN more than doubled from my entry.

This was my thought as well. I will rarely get up at 3:00am to trade, but having the ability to set a GTC Limit order that might be filled in those early morning hours is more what I am looking for.

Article I read said they've already sold out the Reading and Leeds event (100k tickets) and another dance music event in august (70k tickets)

I'd expect this means that football season will be good to go at least in the SEC

As far as I know a GTC order will only fill when your brokers trading hours are available. So if you have a GTC order that spikes or drops before 6am CST and doesn't return to that level you've missed it. Your orders will only fill during those time frames.

4am EST hours are not for everyone, required or needed to be successful. There are some very successful traders on this thread that their hours begin at 7am EST. It's just an additional tool if you have the desire or discipline to utilize the potential entry or exits that may occur during that time span. It also doesn't mean you need to have a lot of money on the table. It simply provides you one additional thing that may at times work in your favor. Whether $100 or $1M on the line. It's all relative.

Agree, too bad being rational has escaped all the "leaders". Who knows on an annual jab. It's all pure speculation at this point. Any article stating otherwise is just that. I quit thinking too much about it a while ago.

I think we are saying somewhat the same thing. Right now I have Schwab and TOS. Neither of which give me that ability. And while I don't plan on starting my trading day at 3:00am very often, it'd still be a nice function to have. If I can set a GTC_Ext Limit Order on WeBull/IBKR at a price I'd be comfortable selling and forget about it, that is a capability that can't be understated in my mind.

Does anyone who uses WeBull have any opinion on it one way or the other? The no commissions on Options seems pretty enticing. As well as the $0 Commission stocks.

Same. I turn 39 soon, but I don't claim my generation. The 82-85 folks are really nothing like the rest of the generation.

I was meant for a much different time. Everything is stupid to me these days.

Yea same. I figure I was born about 20 years later than I should have. '81 here. Wife is '84 and we're similar. That's about the cutoff it seems. Sister is '86 and a whole different animal.

One of the chicks has a hat on that says " I pee in the pool". If my wife wasn't with me I would go over and say. I need your hat, then proceed to jump in the pool with said hat on.
